Burning a low-audio DVD to activate DVD 5.1

I've got a very odd problem here. I have a region-free DVD Player and 5.1 surround combo by a company called Fuze. There is apparently no way to output the audio to my TV without playing a DVD. What I would really like to do is get surround sound working on my videogame systems.

The only way I've figured out how to do it is to play a DVD that has an audiotrack on the menu. The only problem with this is that even though it activates the surround sound for my TV (or videogames), it also activates the audio for the DVD, and I can hear both tracks. What I'm getting at is that I need to play a DVD with an insanely low audio-track, so that I can activate my surround sound for my games or TV.

Is there anything I can download to do this...or something I can make? My DVD player plays burned DVDs with no problem whatsoever.

Thanks in advance!
