The remixing stage is over. And now, let's move on to the voting. What you do is you send me a PM and rank all the entries from first to eighth. Contenders don't need to place their own songs as they automatically get a first place vote. The vote for the winner of PRC87 (Sir Nuts) is doubled. You have until Tuesday, February 27th at 4:59AM EST to make your vote. The winner gets to choose the source material for PRC89!

The People's Remix Competition 88

PRCv4-10

Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! PRC87's Spyro related competition had one of the most heated votes I've seen in weeks, yet through all the odds, Sir Nuts came through as the winner via turning to the funk genre for creating his entry.

So once again, we have a source tune from the king of palm trees, decided from what seemed like an entire Wednesday night of browsing through various source materials. We're still with disc systems, but this time we're going further back with what can arguably be seen as one of the best games on the Sega CD. That's unless you think RPGs are for geeks... >.>

Frankly, most of what I remember of Lunar:EB was the awesome art and movies that the game had, and some spots in the story, because I played the game a long time ago and rushed through it cuz it was a borrowed sega-cd.. oh well. This song is the overworld theme, and it was very hard deciding between this and something else I had in mind. Anyways I bet fans of good RPGs (and good music) will enjoy this choice.

Lunar: Eternal Blue - Field of Reaching for Tomorrow

MIDI | MP3

It's experiencing music like what I saw through there that actually makes me want to check out what else the Sega CD is capable of. That's on my list of "stuff to do before ghost-discing my computer". But yeah, I'll ramble about that later.

GOOD LUCK!

My entry is very unfinished. This is an extremely rough WIP since I just started last night, and didn't have much time to work on it today. Still, I hope you guys enjoy it even in it's incomplete form.
