Pokémon Diamond/Pearl *FRIEND CODES IN CLANOCR THREAD*

Recommended Posts

Yeah. We're trading like mad in ClanOCR.

Use the Friend Code Database I wrote, and join us on IRC - enterthegame server, #ClanOCR channel (If this is complicated I can walk you through it) to chat, arrange trades, battles, etc.

I have Bulbasaur, Totodile, Cyndaquil, Mudkip, Piplup, Chimchar, Turtwig for starters. Anyone want one?

Also, I trade give you pokérus or items if you like. Note that I work till 6pm eastern mon-fri.

I don't know about everyone else, but i've been playing the hell out of this game. I put in 40 hours before I restarted, and I have 70 hours in my current game.

133 logged. I have no idea how I've gotten that many, though, I'm sure I haven't played it that much. I must have left it on somewhere on accident.

I have 198 hours logged...but then again, I would play very slowly when I pulled all-nighters doing homework.

I've got 122 hours logged so far, and I'm at about 220 or so pokemon "caught". This includes ones I never really owned, but held onto for mutual evolutionary trades, like all the porygons, all the magmar evolutions, and Scizor. Just as well, really, because it sure beats evolving them myself.

Does anyone know if Natures are influenced at all by players?Or if they're complete random?Or if pokemon can only obtain certain natures?

Cause I've been trying to find myself an Adamant Magikarp for a while now..

Natures are completely random. There are no preferences or bias towards any pokemon or other in-game component.

Check for what pokemon you have in the front of your party. There's the ability Synchronize, which out in the over world, causes pokemon of similar Natures to appear more often. And if you're breeding, make sure that the Magikarp you're using isn't from a GBA game; there's this thing where using Everstones to pass down Natures doesn't work with transfered pokes.

A friend and I were talking the other day when we realized that Nintendo really pushed it with the marketing on D/P. I mean, considering that you can't come anywhere near getting all the pokemon without first buying all the previous GBA versions is a stroke of evil genius. And one that I'm likely to fall for, too.

My brother is about to fall for it too, getting all the previous ones...

The thing that gets me is the fact that Sapphire and Emerald are still $35! So a friend of mine is going to get Fire Red or Leaf Green, which are at about $20, as I recall.

Also, the Union Room is absolutely worthless.

Pawn shops. Check them out. You should be able to find some GBA pokémon games for cheap. And they might have some pokes on them that could be worth keeping.

So what exactly is the Mystery Gift function for?

Well,in the Gold/Silver versions you used it to obtain room items like Dolls and other furniture.

I don't know if it's changed since then.

Hey, ya'll. I don't own Diamond or Pearl or I wouldn't be asking this but do any of the glitches that have been discovered in the original pokemon/ gold and silver still work in the newest games?

The glitches I'm referring to are:

1. The long-ranged trainer glitch (first available in Ceurelean City)

2. The box glitch (this just abuses a glitch in coding and can be used anytime)

3. Anything else that is of note (missingno. etc.)

Guys. I would REALLY like a Nincada, Ninjask, Shedinja in honor of the massive cicada outbreak in my area. Willing to give piplups or eevees for them.

I would be willing to take two nincadas and evolve them myself.

PM me if you are willing to assist me.

If the absence of a minor glitch in the stat calculation system is going to prevent you from buying a game, that doesn't even use the same old stat system, and is superior in every way to the entire series to date... wait, are you being serious? I can't pick up on sarcasm today for some reason.

Hey guys, I haven't gotten a chance to try out the trading feature yet and think now's as good as ever. I'd like my kadabra to evolve so is anyone willing to trade, then trade back? Also, some pointers on special instructions required to get setup in IRC would be appreciated. Not what you would call "computer-savvy".

EDIT

Guess I should say I probably won't be on for awhile, but I will later(maybe early to late afternoon?)
