K999 Posted June 6, 2007 Share Posted June 6, 2007 I have been researching about info on Home theater systems for a while now, and since this is my first time shopping for HTS, there are certain pieces of information that are still confusing to me. For e.g., this system appears to be a little bit superior to this one in some of the specifications, and yet the price of sony product is about $100 more. Also, I noted that in sony product specifications sheet, it is marked that there is no DTS decoder and as well as no Dolby Pro logic decoder. Aren't these two areas important in a surround sound system? In general, what kind of product details should I take into consideration when shopping for a home theater system?
