It's hard to describe what it's like looking at a baby (boy for me) and knowing that you helped create him and are responsible for him. Guess you just have to experience it for yourself to really get it. I don't think it's sunk in yet for me (though a few sleepless nights should take care of that So, are there any other parents here at OCR? Or am I just getting old? It's hard work, and you're going to feel like ignoring those cries sometimes, but it truly is beautiful and wonderful. Just make sure that when he sleeps, you sleep! I didn't get to spend any time with him for the first 7 months of his life though. I was deployed for 7 months, 2 weeks prior to him being born.
