Silent Hill Remixes?

How do you find out if a song was originally written for the video game? I am new to OCRemix and thinking about remixing one of Akira Yamaoka's songs from the Silent Hill games, such as "Waiting For You," "I Want Love," or "Your Rain." Any input on whether one of these would be valid remixes, or how I can find out if they would be, would be appreciated, thanks.

The Japanese titles correspond to the note names for a chromatic scale used in ancient Buddhist chants.[1]

Generally speaking all of the original soundtracks for the entire Silent Hill series is easy to get, just need to know where to find/buy them.

PM me if you like help in finding/buying them.

"you're not here", "letter", "i want love" vocals are performed by Melissa Williamson, and composed and arranged by Akira Yamaoka. Hometown vocals is performed by Joe Romersa.

That what i have from the OST CD booklet.

EDIT:

apparently it's the same girl. mcglynn/wiliamson.

Thanks for all the info everyone! Yeah, I was just concerned because I saw this from the submission standards page:

The music does have to be from a game, however - it can't be a bonus track off a commercial OST that wasn't actually in the game.

And to be honest, I've never played the Silent Hill games, I just know the soundtrack.

Well, looks like I can start work on this now .D
