RPG Maker XP

Well, I just wanted to know if any of you knows a good site with tons of sprites for RPGMXP?

I tried googling and I had no luck, so I though about asking here.

And, of course, if you just want to talk about this magnificent piece of software, I think this would be it.

Is there a simple tutorial or overview for that program, including system requirements? This is one of those things I've always wanted to try, but I have a nagging suspicion that my machine would explode if I installed the thing.

I used RPG Maker 2000 and 2003 for a few years. I managed to pump out three short, very amateur games.

I've never tried using RPG Maker XP, though. Despite being a theoretically superior system, resources for it are too difficult to seek out as compared to resources used in its predecessors.

charas-project.net has a characterset generator, but the sprites it produces are meant to be used in 2K and 2K3. If you're dedicated you could still use it, but you would have to modify the resulting sprite sheets to work with XP.

These are the system specs from Wikipedia for RMXP.

* Operating system: Microsoft Windows 98/98SE/Me/2000/XP

* Processor: 800 MHz

* 128 MB RAM

* Video adapter 1024×768 or better video resolution in High Color mode

* DirectSound-compatible sound card

* 100 MB free disc space

It doesn't require much. You should be able to run it without any problem unless you're on something 15+ years old.
