  1. This song beats out half the ReMixes currently on the front page, in my opinion. I really like the style choice here (especially the retro-sounding stuff). And you couldn't have chosen a better song to remix. Good luck!
  2. Hey everyone! I'm Markishness. I'm new to OCRemix, but I've been a huge video game music fan for years, and I hope someday to compose some video game music myself. I'll be the first to admit that I'm entirely new to the scene of creating music, but I've always wanted to learn how, and OCRemix seems like the best place to get started. I really enjoy the wide variety of arrangements that have been posted here, and can hardly wait to get started on my own ideas.
  3. *groan* Anyway, all bad puns aside, the only criticism I would have is that the silence in the middle is a bit of an awkward transition. It works, but not as well as it could. It's not a big deal, though - it probably comes down to personal preference. All in all, I was pleased with how true you stayed to the original melody while still making it into something new. The Prelude is one of the most recognizable tunes in the video game industry, so it definitely takes skill to create a re-imagination of the piece that still holds its original magic. Good job!
  4. Chrono Cross's soundtrack is a triumph. As long as we're mentioning pieces with guitar, I love the soft acoustic guitar melody in the background of "Dream of a Shore Bordering Another World". I can't think of guitars in video game music without thinking of Castlevania. Two personal favorites of mine are: , from Symphony of the Nightand , from Aria of Sorrow. The Tragic Prince may seem to be the clear superior of the two (perhaps due to the celebrated guitar solo at the end), but Clock Tower is one of the best Castlevania tracks ever - I don't care how fake the guitar is! It really is too bad that Aria of Sorrow was a GBA game...
