  1. This song is really good! I'm quite impressed by both the quality of the instruments and the quality of the composition. It might just be me, but some parts seem like they would fit in a Ratchet and Clank game... The only thing I'm not sure about is the constant "thump" in the background. It works well for most of the piece but some areas (like around 2:10) it seems out of place. Everything else has gone quiet but the beat keeps blasting like some over-encougage bass drum player! Otherwise, very good job Nixdorux, you have created a mix worthy of the OCR title!
  2. I'd also like to add that there should be no "favorite console" type threads. Those always degenerate into fanboy flame wars anyway. The last n00b to post one got his thread locked (luckily it was after the mocking had begun!). Please, keep the forums clean and free of stupidity!
  3. I haven't played Donkey Kong Country 2 in a long time. Even with that fact, I really enjoyed this remix! I partially recognized the melody from the original but even if I hadn't, I would still listen to this song again and again. Nice job Prot, keep giving us more Donkey Kongy remix goodness!
  4. This song is extremely well done. It's got a great beat and is fun to listen to. My only complaint is that it is too short! I think it could easily be extended but that's up to AmIEvil of course. Bravo! Another great Zelda remix to add to my playlist!
  5. Wow, I'm quite impressed. This remix keeps the heart of the original and adds to it. It has become one of my favorite remixes. I just recently replayed Mega Man 3 (my favorite of the original series) and heard the boss theme. Doing what any smart person would do after enjoying the song, I hopped onto OCRemix to look for the a remix. Gux doesn't disappoint!
  6. I always found Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts to be hard. After a while I was able to fight him and when, then I found out he had another phase in battle. The "run around and annihilate you with quick blows and omnislash" phase. He always wiped the floor with my @$$ at that point. And yet, I still fought him about 20-30 times before I realized how futile it was.
  7. I remember this song, it was always sad and almost humorous when it was used. This remix does the song justice. It captures the essence and feel to the song that the SNES's quality could only begin to handle. It is well written, this song works well with just a piano. It makes me think of the piano in "To Zanarkand". Well done.
  8. This was an extremely well done mix. It saddens me that it is so short though. Bravo Kaijin, bravo. What you have created is sheer Remix genius.
