  1. This remix is one of the best synth metal remixes I've heard done by anyone on the net. It sounds great. The production job is fantastic as everything is clear sounding. The live drums played via MIDI controller are very well done and often times sound realistic enough in both playing and quality to make me think I'm hearing a real drummer. And the kicker is he has only gotten better! The guitars sound great, one of my favorite points is right around 1 minute where the synth starts to go into a lead and you hear the muted guitar playing accompanying the lead. I can't really say anything negative about this remix. It is faithful to the original yet varied, and keeps you listening for hours and even days on end due to its badassness.
  2. Agree with GrayLightning, get the Sonic Implants one. I have the legato string section which you can buy off their site for $50, and even that alone is pretty awesome.
  3. sf2midi.com find the "Strings Spiccatto"
  4. http://www.findsounds.com Search for "sighs" "breath" etc etc...
  5. Harp: Miroslav harp is good, but if you cant find a way to buy it then... Harp: Fluid2, which is an ok harp... need to do noise removal for obscure sounds in some of the samples. Harpsichord: Fluid2, but EQ it so it brightens up a little more like a harpsichord would sound, and then its actually pretty good.
  6. Use a sine wave, then give it some tremolo.
  7. Well, I found some good samples, dcpsoguy, but thanks anyway. I will make a soundfont out of the weather ones I found and upload it somewhere. Anyone know where I can do that? Z3RO, all you need is an Orchestral kit for military sounds. Use EQ to brighten it up a bit and that will probably make it a little clearer. There is no "military" drums, its all just basic orchestral stuff.
  8. Hey, thanks a lot... I had found that site the other night but was getting page not founds when I clicked the link, and right clicking to save as wasn't working either. Gave it a try again and it worked. Z3RO, all you need is an Orchestral kit for military sounds. Use EQ to brighten it up a bit and that will probably make it a little clearer. 9. Anyone know of any good thunder, wind, and rain samples? Or where to get any? Preferably stereo, 44khz. Oh, and I have searched the net but most of the time they're really low quality or the pages bring up ad pages or its simply 404 errors.
