Orkybash submitted his Mario RPG ReMix a while back and he told me he had a few more to submit, and thus I asked him to remind me in about a week, which he did. Well, it's taken me awhile to post one of them, so let me explain: I have no system. Submissions are handled in almost complete anarchy, and my decisions on what to post and when are sometimes influenced by: the weather, the day of the week, whether the Pandas at the DC National zoo are mating, what the Pope thinks, and the moon's alignment with a far off planet in a distant universe named simply "Frank". One day, I will endeavour to fix this, but until then, please don't hurt me :) OK now I have very little space: this is an excellent techno-orchestral take on the relatively recent Icewind Dale RPG. Cross a good solid 4/4 techno beat with some very sweet orchestration - strings, piano, and a cool looped synth lead - and you've got some good shtuff. I especially like some of the chord changes / intervals in this one, though honestly I'm not sure if that's in the original or was added in. Well worth the 2 & 1/2 meg!

Super-dated groove and stilted articulations that bring you back to the good ole' days of the scene. I agreed with OA that the melody's excellent, so I'd love to hear someone else give this theme their own spin with today's standards in mind.

I feel like ZackParrish could do this justice, evolving the same melody upon multiple dynamics. :)

Not familiar with the original, but pretty cool song. The percussion seemed a bit stiff at times, but the tambre choices were very unique, ambient and interesting. Nice job! :]

I like this remix so much... that I feel inclined to make a new version of it. I really like your idea for a remix. :)

There are some great aspects to this track, such as the choir and orchestral elements, but there are too many abrupt stops with no real reason for them, and the transitions arent smooth. Both times the B section comes in, it just starts getting good, and then is suddenly stopped. The bass sound doesn't mesh with anything, and the drums are pretty wimpy.

I am inclined to agree with previous reviewers that the source tune really carries this mix.

Lots of sweet stuff here. Youre definately one of the better ReMixers here. :D

I want to hear something from final fantasy 7.

I think this is one of the greatest remixes in the dance genre. I definately like the original Icewind Dale songs and this one captures their spirit. It's restless and at the same time maintaining the quiet order of the original theme. Great work, like most Orkybash produces.

I don't personally feel it does the original justice, but I still like it. It deviates quite a bit from the original in terms of genre.

Icewind Dale?

Being Remixed?

Amazing. I must say, a-friggin-mazing. I'd really like to hear a remix of The Icewind Dale Main theme. Lysans Lair would be a good candidate as well. Well done, and sorry for not posting anything earlier. Really good remix, my friend says it reminds him of someone drowning.

Lol. Im inclined to agree :D

It's a decent remix of a great track. I love the original, and therefore I cannot help but like this one. The choir towards the end is really cool and well done.

I would perhaps have liked it just a bit less techno-ish, and a bit more epic.

This song is old. I downloaded it when I was new. I liked it very much, because the original probably was very good. I still haven't heard the original, so I treat this as the original. As mentioned before, it takes a second to get good, but when it did, turned out this melody was one I really liked. When it changes to piano, that's the best. It slowly gets better. The melody is a bit short, but one of my favorites. Rubs the right way.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
