Not every album stays the course and undergoes the revisions & changes in direction necessary to make it across the finish line, but usually even when a project is cancelled or stalls indefinitely, there are often amazing mixes that get freed up & posted. Here's one: Argle (Adam Kirby) put this stirring, orchestral anthem together for a Wind Waker project, and we think you'll dig it quite a bit:

"I haven't done orchestral music in absolute ages, so it was a refreshing change from the usual electronic shite I make."

Especially robust, Pirates of the Carribean-style percussion highlights adventurous ensemble strings, brass, woodwinds, and chromatic percussion, with solo parts (oboe, harp, trumpet, flute, clarinet, harpsichord) emerging often, and changes in tone & tempo lending a narrative, cinematic flow. DragonAvenger writes:

"Yeah, this would be killer live. Love how you adapted this, loving your original sections. Good transitions, and good dynamics, nice time signature change! Samples aren't amazing, but as Larry mentioned, I never really felt like it was a huge issue or that noticeable aside from the trumpets at the end. Minor, in the big scheme. Nice work!"

Chimpazilla adds:

"This is fantastic, Argle! Really creative use of the main melody, and using the little motifs as fills as well, and the addition of the main Zelda theme is dynamite. Lovely soft ending. Great dynamics, terrific arrangement!"

A flowing, lyrical, creative, & expressive arrangement, and while there might be fleeting, ephemeral issues with sample realism, judges agreed that none of them stood out; this is invigorating, high-seas adventuring done right, with a great blend of ensemble and solo parts and a good ear for transitions and storytelling. Enjoy!

I've had the original version of this song stuck in my head lately, and to see it on here was a real gem for my day. But beyond that, the added emphasis from the snares and use of cymbals adds a power and drama to this track that I adore. Great work, and great track!

I really enjoyed the part where it became upbeat, as if there was a battle raging on in the Great Sea. But from start to finish, it was wonderful to listen to. Good job on your remix, Argle.
