Wow - helluva first submission from Protricity, who according to the ID3 tag used ModPlug and Cooledit to make this great laid-back techno-groove ReMix from DKC2. This is very high-quality stuff, with excellent sounds throughout, expert use of Cooledit to enhance certain bits with effects that go beyond reverb and delay into ring modulation, distortion, phasing, etc. Mixing loops and percussion with a beautifully played piano line, synth / string pads, a remarkable osc-sync synth lead, and synth nuances throughout, this mix breathes with tremendous fluidity and flows very smoothly. It's not so ornate that you can't listen to it as background music, but it's also really intelligently put together and worth focusing intently on as well. I'd even go so far as to say that I and others have things to learn from this ReMix. Must-have, to be sure. Of course, the original track is also amazing, but Protricity's treatment accentuates all the best bits and he made good calls on mixing decisions across the board. Great to see so many top-notch first-time submissions!

I've had this song longer than I've known my wife (downloaded a week before I met her), and I still have the original file from when I downloaded it ("Last modified: 03/28/2002" when the album was still listed as "http://remix.overclocked.org"... Fuck, I'm old).
It's been on a ton of my playlists since I first downloaded it, and while the original melody is certainly nostalgia-inducing, I've actually built up a lot more memories from listening to this remix over the years, such that I actually have more nostalgia listening to this particular song than the original or any of the millions of other remixes of it.

I still think Prot should've finished remixing the soundtrack.
That said, this is a great take on the source, one that keeps the vibe of natural beauty and takes it to a whole new level. Beautiful work here! :3

This is a great remix to the more actiony (in my opinion) Stickerbrush Symphony. Very easy listening that still gives you that nostalgic feeling of "They need to recreate these games or remake the old consoles again". Ha. Great work!

Though it is structurally very similar to the original, but there is a good deal of personalization with some new beats and backing instruments.
Overall one that has held up pretty well over the years due to a strong source and a cool production style.

Stickerbrush Symphony is my favorite song of the 16-bit era. Literally I can't overstate how awesome the source material is and you should check it out. The original has a very distant feel to it, yet also endows the listener with hope. Simply a brilliant piece by Dave Wise.
Now I tip my hat to Protricity because he somehow managed to keep that same feel and bring it up to the modern day. This remix has aged very well and remains one of my favorite on the site, give it a listen!

Ohhhhhh yeahhhhhh........now this is chill. The Mix is so soothing a relaxing, and the source is woven in beautifully. Protricity made a heck of an impression with his first ReMix and it's no surprise that this was only the first of many. Keep rocking.

This is an odd bump, but whatever - it must be said.
This is a magnificent mix. A ready favourite for wandering to school on cold winter days...Lotsa good times on this one. There's nothing really to complain about or even say - just let its majesty unfurl on you. You'll love it - downbeat-ish with a solid, solid core.
Definitely recommended.

Relaxing. Rather simple, but suited for an easy listening pleasure.

Rather than raving like a loon like I've done many times before, I'll grant this mix the dignity of just keeping it simple.
A perfectly executed mix and without a doubt one of the best 10 mixes on the entire site.
I shouldn't have to explain why.

Wow! This song is so catchy! I loved the song in the game, and this is easily as good, if not better! Really good.

I honestly love this piece. Something about it that is just so nostalgic and kinda brings back memories of me struggling on this game when I was younger.
Excellent Job!

AWESOMES song!!!!! This remix is just better than the original (both in GBA version and Snes version) though the original song Stickerbrush Symphony is the greatest song in DKC 2
Any way, most of Protricity songs are excellent
