While more of a jazz/funk jam than a lounge joint, this Mega Man 3 & 8 WCRG collab from Amphibious (Jordan Michael Reed) & C7 (Adam Prack) is sweet, enjoyable, and highlighted by some very sexy live trumpet. C7 has a previously posted Majora's Mask mix you should check out, but this is Jordan's OCR debut; he writes:

"This mix was from the second round I was part of, and having always loved jazzy mixes (Joshua Morse being a personal favourite) I decided I'd try my hand at something of the sort. I was thankful that C7 ended up on my team, because he offered his trumpet playin services which turned out to be perfect for the genre I was going for. In the end I tried a lot of new things in this mix, and a lot of people have expressed their interest in my submitting it, so here I am after a little fine tuning. Everyone's support, both during the competition and afterwards, has been greatly appreciated!"

Very glad he was persuaded to submit this; I definitely hear a Morse influence going on, and Adam's contribution really added an extra dimension:

"It was fun and I'd love to provide trumpet for whoever (time permitting, of course). Your track made me more of a fan of chill mixes in general."

Palpable writes:

"...this is really solidly put together. Very Morse-inspired and you got his attention to detail down. The trumpet is very nicely performed and makes this song go the extra mile, especially when the guitar plays alongside. Thanks for keeping it classy, guys."

Definitely a smooth, confident, & memorable debut mix from Amphibious, aided by C7; the Morse comparison tells you almost all you need to know, unanimous panel approval was well-deserved, and hopefully this feedback will encourage future submissions & collaborations. Great to see the WCRG compo resulting in a wide variety of arrangements & opening the door for new artists!

Aside from very minor nitpicks on sound selection (some leads), really well done on this. I almost thought you were going to go Battle Network 3 at 1:58, but it wasn't in the source list. :(

Classy indeed, marvelous work with this jazzy/funky little piece that would fit my kind of lounge.

Awww yeah, I loved this track from the WCRG and it's been on my playlist for quite some time. I love this genre and the smooth jazz/funk style was executed perfectly here. Love the trumpet solo too. Jordan and Adam are both awesome :) Nice job guys!
