DusK (Dustin Branscum) hits us with an epic symphonic metal Guild Wars 2 ReMix:

"So, Pixel Mixers put together a thing. A tribute to Guild Wars 2: Super Adventure Box. Of course, I had to be on it. So I took a look, and, sure enough, nobody claimed the track I wanted to do, so I grabbed it. I wanted to really give it this epic orch-metal flair, largely to pay homage to Josh Foreman, the mastermind behind SAB.

I think it turned out pretty well. :)"

So do we! Judges were unanimously feeling the energy & real ultimate power, with Sir_NutS writing:

"I like the power metal take here, the adaptation is great, the energy is decidedly powerful (no pun intended) and the new arrangement parts fit like a glove. I think an area of improvement still could be production, as I think this submission lacks a bit of air and sounds a touch muffled but nothing to make me want to send this back. I feel a highlight with this one was the break at 2:00. It was unexpected, very well executed and just sweet."

Comment about air notwithstanding, most judges felt this was some of Dustin's cleanest & clearest production to date, and symphonic metal/rock is a pretty challenging genre in that regard, so kudos are due. With a title like "Stormbringer" you can't be too subtle, but this mix manages to throw some detail & variety amongst/under all the raw voltage, while still bringing one hell of a storm. Great to see more GW2 from Dusk, and glad that he was able to contribute to the Super Adventure Box album!

This remix is very intense and driving. I felt like I should be engaging in some crazy epic battle somewhere or something. There are some parts that do a very good job of building tension, especially with the strings going crazy!
