Treyt's on a boat! (He's on a boat!) Take a good, hard look at Treyt's action-packed EDM from Golden Sun: The Lost Age! We're happy to set sail with a theme that Treyt rates as his personal fave across the seven seas:

"The source, "We've Got a Ship", is easily my favorite track from anything ever. For those that remember, this source was my first submitted remix, and my first and only NO (though Micro Mages definitely should've been a NO).

I would love to argue this track is 100% source, and I think I will.

Heavily influenced by Bossfight (I think I'm going to experiment with more stuff closer to his actual style in the future), and my fun but crappy older stuff from the 2010's. Hope it makes your day suck less!"

It does have an uplifting effect, thanks, Treyt! Interesting phasing/pumping going on to start, but it's an attention-grabber. Good sound design, and wild energy from the instrumentation and effects, which were all over the place in a good way. It can come off sounding unfocused, but I could follow it, and of course it was no prob for prophetik music:

"there's a fun, bouncy feel to the bass writing, and the sidechain is crisp and significant. lead writing at 0:32 is great - tons of personalization. [...] i love the hard drop into the band sound at 0:49, and i absolutely love the super-heavy sidechain, reminiscent of the post-chorus Titanium sound. there's some bass growls in there that are a fun addition, and we hit the first break at 1:18. this is pretty long and does some unexpected stuff, like the fakeout build into 2:05.

we do finally get the last payoff chorus at 2:21, complete with some organic grass-fed bass wubulation. more exciting is the altered chord progression and subsequent key change so it's not just playing through it in a straight line again. excellent use of an escalation mechanic in the last few seconds of the track. there's some more sfx and some keys to play us off, keyboard cat, and we're done.

a delightful track. [...] i like the arrangement, the song's scope and form, the execution, and the wrap. nice work. this is an instant favorite."

I really dug the DDRKirby-esque chip pivot at 2:03, pure 9-bit [sic] bliss! (They should collab!) In following up my vote to close this out, judge Hemophiliac also admired Treyt's adventurous sound design:

"I'm starting to think you're like Arnold Schwarzenegger, you seem to like the pump as much as he does. The pump here though is good, not too overpowering and adds to the fun and forward momentum of the track.

The melodic embellishment is great, especially after 0:32. There's a lot of personalization and changing up of sound design which really makes this your own. I too, like Liontamer, really appreciated the chip inclusion as it fits in like gold. The return of the "full band" sound at 2:20 was great after the contrasting quieter section. [...]

I love that you chose to come back and revise this one after some time. Bring the pump, Treyt!"

Props for Treyt not giving up on successfully arranging this theme, as he's wanted to do it justice since arriving here. The objective was met and then some with very varied sound design and treatment of the source, lil' voice clips well-integrated with just the right sense of goofiness, and an effective close from the compositional level, pulling back for the contemplative piano close. Dynamic from the word go, it's no shock Treyt was able to bring it! :-)
