Uh-oh . . . . hold on for CHEEEESE! If you're looking for a serious, techno or rock-based reworking of the music from Moon Patrol, you'll have to keep waiting. Why? Because this is an a-cappella ReMix, with all sounds originating from first-time contributor Shanecapella himself in one way or another. Check it out . . . it's different . . . it's amusing . . . and it sure as hell can't be much worse than a hillbilly ReMix, now, can it? . . . . Don't answer that :) Kudos to Shanecapella for some 'interesting' work!

Hahaha, well, this is certainly amusing and entertaining if nothing else. Hey, if it can put smiles on faces and get a few laughs, I'm all for it. Clipping for percussion, while an interesting idea, kinda wears on me after a while and doesn't help that my speakers are as rough as they are. Beatboxing with a capella and whistling and other weird effects......yeah, this is an experiment in voice recording, and while I can't say that this will be added to my playlist, it was well worth the listen for the amusement factor alone.

Props are in order for a fine curiosity piece. But what else can you say about something like this? I'm guessing it has survived through the lockdowns because it's brimming with novelty, but mix wise this is so eh.
It's sketchy and pretty damn rough sounding, but I'm a big fan of the innocence in this and the total lack of seriousness. In a way, this could be considered a boundary-pusher in terms of instruments and experimentation. It's a pity it isn't just an a capella remake of the game music and sound effects. With polish and some fresh ideas, this could have been so much more.
I actually really love this. But I can't say this is a great mix. It sounds more like the product of a lot of time and a lot of boredom to me.

Interesting.
...and bizarre.
Although I really like the concept of an a capella mix, I don't necessarily this nor Moon patrol is the best approach.
Still an "A" for effort though.

Pretty strange, and not really for me. It does make me wonder though what a "serious" a capella mix would sound like with beat boxing and the like. I bet it would be amazing..
Exactly my thoughts.
I found this to be really amusing, and worth checking out. Not something I'm going to keep, but it made me smile.

Haha! Clipping as percussion. Brilliant!
This mix is like a barrel of monkeys. No, I'm not going to explain it.

a friend just told me to download this remix, and after listening to it i've decided while it may not be the best its definitely the coolest remix on ocr. its funny as hell.

Wow, nice job for a capella! I'm curious how you did the sound for the alien flying overhead.

I really liked this remix because it brought back old memories of when I first played Moon Patrol. It's very nicely done in accapella. Now I want to buy the arcade version because I want to play Moon Patrol again.

The best part is when he gets a game over and starts again, gotta love the CONSTANT DETONATIONS!! Very cool how the whole thing is accapella, anything accapella is neat, and an accapella of an old 80s game, just freakin cool.
