Wow . . . it's amazing to hear progress like this. prozax started off a great ReMixer and has become even better. His initial tracks were good, but relied mostly on the strength of his lead guitar skillz, which were and still are plentiful. But now he's learned to match that with not only improved backing instruments and arrangement, but better mixing, as well as different types of guitar sounds, from acoustic, clean electric, wah, you name it. This is our first Mario Kart 64 ReMix, surprisingly given the games' popularity, and starts things off on the right foot with a very free-floating rock vibe that suits the games open skies and sense of high-speed fun. Just check out the break at 0'42" with the drum drop-out and the clean guitar solo - yes, prozax has found a way to make Mario Kart both beautiful and kickass, as we then segueway into a distorted wah guitar solo and some great same-line duet playing stuff. Fantastic and VERY evolutionary, you must grab it, no hesitation.

Some good ideas and a nice performance of the guitar and rolling percussion. Love a good mix that embellishes the melody of a source. Very nice.

Saw this on the Russian Remix Roulette and am glad that this is no longer "OCRemoved". Loved this song when I first grabbed it 16 years ago, and even though it doesn't deviate much from the source material, it's a phenomenal remix that deserves its place on OCR.

Love the Iron Maiden-esque drum track on this (not as heavy I know, but it still has that 'gallop' that Maiden implements so well). The guitar is sublime, pure and simple. The bass keeps the rhythm going nicely and pads add some lovely textures. The solo's remind me a lot of Steve Vai and Joe Satriani and I can't heap a higher praise on this guy than that

The opening chord hooked me to this track right away. This remix does Rainbow Road 64 justice in more ways than one. The original solos inserted into this track is outstanding, and the transitions between original and source material is smooth and seamless. And what a standard to set for this being Overclocked’s first Rainbow Road 64 remix.

This is sick. Love the clean soloing and the guitar sounds just as great, tonally and musically.
