Peaceful, pleasant, classical/folk/acoustic take on Stardew Valley, from Rebecca E. Tripp:
"This is my first ever arrangement dedicated to Stardew Valley. The original composer of the SV soundtrack was Eric Barone. This track was nominated and voted for by my patrons on Subscribestar. If you're interested in voting/nominating in the future, you can subscribe to me here: https://subscribestar.com/rebeccaetripp. A new VGM remix will be chosen every month.
I hope you like this track! I put a lot of care into this, and I'm pretty happy with some of the textures I created by blending live instrumentation with synths! I never played SV. I'm glad this one got requested though!"
Oboe, bassoon, flute, harp, and sparse hand percussion, with ensemble strings and some backing textures, make for an arrangement that has a lot of melodic tradeoffs/interplay between leads; Liontamer evaluated:
"Glad to have Stardew Valley represented here again after Michael Hudak's wonderful post-rock piece debuted the game on OCR! Rebecca's always good for a melodically conservative but instrumentally interpretive approach to an arrangement that showcases her unique musical sensibilities. We could have held off on posting this until the fall, but, folks, this is still the pandemic and we all need serenity now! Rebecca's got a more new age (dare we say "earthy") feel to this take that doesn't have the same percussion spices that give the original source tune its more plinky (technical term) sound. Whether you're a fan of Stardew Valley or not, I recommend checking out both versions of this source tune, ConcernedApe's original and Rebecca's arrangement (and here you are!) to appreciate them both. :-)"
I would have liked some occasional progressive vibrato on the winds, but I love that Rebecca features bassoon as often as she does - always a treat. This has an almost meditative vibe due to relatively sparse percussion, but the various melodic leads are, in contrast, quite active, weaving in & out and forming a more active, bustling nucleus. Enjoyable, organic stuff from Rebecca - many thanks to both her AND her patrons for making excellent requests!

This remix invokes the feeling of slowly waking up in some sort of lush forest. I would 100% listen to this while playing Stardew Valley, it fits like a glove.

Nice little companion piece to the original. All of the seasonal themes in Stardew are fantastic. They suit the game perfectly. Definitely worthy of an OCR album in the (perhaps distant) future.
