ReMix:Final Fantasy VIII "Queen of Cards" 4:34

Time for a gear shift, as our SeeDs of Pandora tour takes an aggressive, electronic turn with GlacialSpoon giving us a hard-hitting big beat EDM take on "Shuffle or Boogie":

"What if the finals of a Triple Triad tournament were given a bit more hype? A breakbeat and big beat-styled track inspired by the likes of The Crystal Method, Hyper, and General Midi. This was one of the smoother compositional processes I've had, with much more time spent on sound instead."

Some really inspired, robo-mechanized sounds of electronic doom going on, here, and the beats they are indeed big; album director Jorito writes:

"As a sucker for big beat, the minute I heard the first WIP, I was grooving in my chair and very down with this remix. Remixing the source in this genre works surprisingly well, and I am envious of Glacial's production chops. I didn't particularly care for the source track, but you convinced me there were a few nuggets of gold buried in there. It's an amazingly groovy and smooth listening experience to me, maybe you'll dig it just as much as I did."

Groovy yes, smooth... perhaps in terms of execution/production, but there are a lot of alarms, laser blasts, and various sonic gems strewn throughout, so don't expect something TOO mellow :) Love the glitch/stuck tone ending - can't do it every time, or even that often, but when it works it works, and it works here. Chimpazilla knows her EDM production, and was on board with her shorthand eval notes:

"Oh super fun opening, loving the synths here, great beat and vibe, awesome personalization, good production, lots of detail, plenty of source, very fun track."

While our previous featured mixes have been more transporting, enveloping, and atmospheric, this one's bigger on the energy levels and untz, and it delivers both in spades. This is my attempt at a card pun. Fun, head-bobbin', electro-crystallized synth injection of pure energy - superb work from GlacialSpoon and another humdinger off of Final Fantasy VIII: SeeDs of Pandora!
