Alright, I'll bite, Larry. You want some writeups? You got it. And I'm gonna be as long and waxingly verbose as I wanna be, 'cause I qualify as an old man around here now!
So while I'm pretty familiar with the DKC2 source, I never owned it growing up so less songs resonate with me. However, "Mining Melancholy" has been a standout source for me ever since I heard "Trapped in the Minds" from Serious Monkey Business.
The song has tons of junky, dirty percussion and I can dig it. Cruddy drums and this source go super well together. Overall, it has a real slow-groove, hip-hop vibe to it. Nice layering of instruments. Playing it real close to source but the little touches and changes make it worthwhile. The bridge breakdown is particularly well done, and there you can hear what kind of standout processing has been done on these. Oh, and I can't forget that the guitar playing is excellent. Hey, would it be a weird compliment to say "This sounds exactly what I would have probably done with it?" 'Cause if not, then I'll say it.
If only you could have seen me air-drumming and air-guitaring while getting into it with this track. I give it seventeen banana bunches and a bunch of Kremkoins. Please continue.

The percussion in this remix is splendidly snazzy. A real treat for the ears!

Keeps things close to the source, but with an extra punch of funk and some excellent electric guitar makes this an example of how to make something your own while honoring the spirit of the tune. Well done, great mix of Mining Melancholy. Y'all absolutely did my favorite DKC 2 theme justice.

The world cannot have enough Aquatic Ambiance covers (especially funky ones like this Mining Melancholy one). I hope you guys do Aquatic Ambiance down the line! :-D @Ridley Snipes
