RebeccaETripp taps into Zelda fans' first-time feelings of awe with her brilliant orchestration depicting transformation you should get sans hesitation, the rabbit theme from A Link to the Past! Tripp provided her perspective:

"This is my orchestral arrangement of "Bunny" or "Silly Pink Rabbit" from Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past, originally composed by Koji Kondo. He's on a whole other level! But he has inspired me for most of my life. ^_^ I'm sure Sakimoto had some unconscious inspiration on this (and many other pieces of mine). It has been some time since I composed a LttP remix! I hope this cover finds you well!

For many, the first moments of entering the Dark World in Link to the Past were nothing short of astonishing. I wanted to recapture something of the mystery, danger, adventure, vulnerability, and promise of renewal found only within the otherworld. I feel that Link's temporary setback is necessary on the journey towards greater, more sustainable power. I'm happy to be the age I am, as I feel like these experiences gave me something priceless!

I did the "Song of Healing" part on a whim - it just felt right, somehow!"

I was more of a fighting game and sidescrolling beat-'em-up kid, so I actually never played Zelda 3, yet all of the emotions and imagery Tripp described translate well to a Hyrulian n00bian [sic] like me (I did play some of 2!). The source theme kicks in at :28 after an original extended intro, and kudos to Rebecca for nicely expanding the treatment into light orchestration with lots of ornamentation. What a pleasant turn at 1:11 just varying the instrumentation of the theme and then weaving it with other original writing dancing around it, follow by another sweet switch at 1:32 into the strings handling the lead. After a well-placed dropoff at 2:00, "Song of Healing" showed up for a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo from 2:09-2:16 before shifting back into the main source for further variations accented by denser strings underneath adding more tension. Everything here was cookin', but no rabbit stew, just delicious morsels of music! Judge Hemophiliac co-signed on the arrangement's vivid visions matching Tripp's ambitions:

"Turned into a bunny is definitely one of the strangest pieces on the OST, carrying some amount of wonder, innocence, and a hint of darkness to it. I feel like this tapped into the wonder and innocence but added some silliness to the fold. Arrangement is very solid taking us through the short source with many variations, mostly with texture change through instrumentation swapping.

The short appearance of "Song of Healing" could almost be a way to imply turning back into human form, clever idea! Less than seven seconds later, we've stepped back onto the dark world portal tile and have turned into a bunny again. :-D [...]

Fun, glad to hear an underrepresented tune tackled."

Hemo rightly pointed out that, per her usual, Rebecca nicely presents loads of textural variations to play around with the source material, and it's a tried and true tactic for an engaging arrangement that lets you witness and subsequently enjoy the versatility of a classic VGM theme. Strong as always, it's never not enjoyable to hear Rebecca revel in her element! :-)
