Triple B Music (assisted here by jnWake on keys, roqdrummer on drums, streifig and Nivan Sharma on lead guitars, and Justin Wilbanks on drum recording and editing) has a strong second contribution here with this prog rock take on Chrono Trigger's main theme. This, like a number of ReMixes, comes to us by way of our pals at the Dwelling of Duels monthly music competition – if you want to hear the very latest and greatest from the VGM community, be sure to make your way over there while you're listening and reading here. There's some excellent production going on with this arrangement, which judge Hemophiliac highlights:

"Gotta say, production on this one is fantastic. The balance of parts is especially well done and the drums are killer... The countermelodies and embellishments are highlights for me, such as at 1:18-1:20 (sounds like a synth panned right). Adding an extra few bars for transition at 1:01-1:04 was great. The 3:03-3:21 new material was excellent, that's the kind of stuff we love to see here. I'd like to see some more of that in the future.

This is a semi-conservative but fun arrangement with some personalization. The instrumental performances are strong and the production is excellent with some of the best drum mixing I've heard in a while (live drums do wonders!). Great work Triple B and crew!"

I couldn't agree more. The more intimate vocals at the start of the piece mask a rocking good time that picks up around 45 seconds in and keeps going right through to the end. The hesitation and flourish right at 3:03 (see Hemophiliac's notes above) had me sitting up in my chair ready to share with the folks around me. This is comfort food of the best sort – you'll know when to put your hands up as you rock out for a few minutes to one of gaming's most enduring main themes.
