Argle graces our ears with this wonderful take on "Jib Jig" from Donkey Kong Country 2. It starts off as the delightful seafaring romp we know and love before Argle decided to launch us out of a cannon and give us a folk/symphonic metal hybrid that lands so well. As someone who does not listen to metal regularly, this had me hooked from beginning to end. Even with the amount of power on display in the guitar and drum work, the small reprieves with folk instruments leave a lasting impression, especially near the end when it almost takes on a Chrono Cross vibe. You will be buying a boat after listening to this; I guarantee it.

Here is what Argle had to say about their song:

"...Back in the spring, I had such an obvious idea for this source -- a folk/symphonic metal rendition -- that I went looking on OCR and YouTube, sure that I'd find it'd already been expertly done by someone else. To my complete surprise, I couldn't find it anywhere. [...] I absolutely feel that this song needed to exist, but I really don't think I was the right person to do it."

One more remark like that and you'll be walking the plank! You were absolutely the right one for the job, and I think everyone would agree with that.
