Bio
Released to the world in 2006, Square Enix's 'Final' Fantasy game for the PS2 stars Penelo as one of the cast. Her home is Rabanastre, a vast city of the land of Ivalice, previously seen in Final Fantasy Tactics. At seventeen years old, her life on the streets has taught her instincts unknown to a girl of higher stature. She learned martial arts from her deceased older brother, who was a part of the military. Now an orphan, Penelo makes money working as a dancer in a Rabanastre bazaar.
Her relationship with the main character, Vaan, is a strong friendship with a hint of romantic tension. Somewhat acting as his conscience, she is known to reprimand Vaan for stealing, even given their existence on the streets. Her jovial nature helps bring balance to the core group as the plot progresses. In the Japanese release, Yuna Mikuni is the voice actor for Penelo.
