In Space Channel 5, a band of space aliens called the Morolians invades Earth by forcing the populace, through the use of a strange ray gun, to dance uncontrollably. The television news service Space Channel 5 sends its last unaffected reporter, Ulala, to report on the invasion.
After her seniors are afflicted by the invaders' compelling rays, the twenty-two-year-old Ulala is promoted to the network's investigative reporting team.
