Embarassing confession time - I bought a Sega 32x for FULL PRICE when it was out. Yeah. Actually, I bought the Atari Jaguar for full price as well. I don't wanna talk about it . . . at the time, though, I *could* claim two things: 1. I had a damn perfect version of Space Harrier for my 32x and 2. I had Tempest 2000, with one of the best cartridge techno scores ever. I was pimpin'. Now, of course, I look back and laugh at these systems that had only a few select games worth even considering, neither of which went anywhere. Knuckles Chaotix was one of the games that made the 32x at least a little appealing. It wasn't quite up to snuff with the other Sonics in the gameplay department, but it had bright, nice, happy graphics, and bright, nice, happy music, and also lots of strange animals like this weird but friendly crocodile thing. I remember it being REALLY easy, too, so for me and ma limited skillz, it was fun. Joe's ReMix captures much of that fun, open, free spirit in his trademark Vocalwriter style. Lead melody covered by a clarinet-esque solo, backed by chords and rather nice brass lines in a light jazz / pop format. Joe knew to capitalize on the strong main melody, so everything plays off that. Whole piece is rather pleasant through and through - I would have liked different drums, as the hi hats are a little grainy and intrusive and are not on par with the rest of the elements, but I enjoyed it nonetheless and think you will too.

I really like the vibe that is present in this mix. It's not something you'll ever get an urge for, but nevertheless, when you find yourself listening to it, you are very happy you are. It's warm, sweet-tasting Sonic tunage; a guilty pleasure maybe, but a great melody I wouldn't have heard or appreciated if it wasn't mixed. Nod of approval.

The trumpets have the weirdest line, dunno if that's the original or what, but I had to listen to their lick a few times to figure it out.
A nice happy mix, but I feel like it could use some live instruments in it.

Not really a whole lot to say about this, really...
Its a brilliant remix and perfect for, as the title suggests, summer digs...
I did think at one point it was gonna repeat a third time...but you actually pulled it off very well, so thats cool ^_^
And if Im honest, I much prefer the part without the melody...but this may be because Ive heard it a couple of times before.
Overall a very very good track...recommended to all ^_^

Fun little remix here, but doesn't strike me as anything special. Maybe if I knew the original I would like it a lot more, but as it is there's not much to complain about (except possibly the fade out ending) or get excited about here.
