ALRIGHT! . . . with so many new faces, it's nice to see some returning old ones as well. It's been too long since I had a heapin' helpin' of Haroon "ffmusic dj" Piracha's flavorful Final Fantasy techno trance. The well-known prelude theme, instantly recognizable by gamers of all ages who have any familiarity with the term "RPG" (or can at least spell it) is covered in true trance style here. Very nice sweeping ambient pads, a wicked bassline, and a "Groove to the Music" vocal sample that'll make you nostalgic for the 90's are all present and accounted for. I like what Haroon did with the key and intonation - different from the original, but you can definitely hear the roots. The little synth hit line at 2'20" kills me, as it's very textbook trance, but (as I always like to clarify) in a good way. Also, dig the intercom-style midpass filtering on the bass at around 3'02" - sweet. This certainly does what its genre ostensibly sets out to do - lays down a hypnotic groove and runs with it, letting the listener zone in and out. So, like the lady says (several times actually - she's really serious about this): groove to the music.

But on the whole I think the song is interesting, especially if you're trying to just chill, relax, slip away somewhere, hear a pretty slow scale go up and down... a few times, etc.

I have a hard time "grooving to the music" when the music itself is so watered down.
Sorry, I don't like this at all. :(

A good one, has the standard stuffings. Some nice beats, trancish synths with some strings/another synth in the background with a climax at the end and with a voice repeting some times. Bad? NOOOOoooo.........ooooOOOO!
Another mix from an another dj. OHYEAH!

Nice ambience set up with those pads in the beginning which, fortunately, FFmusic Dj carries out throughout the whole piece off and on - too often people build up ambiance then just drop it later on. However, this is far from my favorite FFmusic DJ piece, for two reasons. First off, the voice sample is overused (Haroon, work on this! It's a flaw I've noticed in most of your songs). Plus, the prelude isn't really there - all we hear is the scales going up and down, none of the oh-so-familiar chord changes. Not even tweaked a little to make it a minor key or something. Just the same arpegio over and over. Fortunately, we get enough variation in the song to keep it from becoming a complete bore. And then there's the fact that, if you make a prelude mix, make sure it's outstanding, cause you've got about 598343954835 other remixes of the same song competing with you. Recomended for trance fans, but not many others.
