  1. heh, I downloaded the torrent and I must say I'm glad, because its better than what I expected.

My personal favorites (in no particular order):

    Snyderman - Chemical Reaction

    Sadorf - aquatic project

Jayson Litrio - Hill Top Heaven

    Analoq - Oil Spill

    Analoq - Next My generation

Hadyn - Travelling Through a Dream

    Blak Omen - SuperSonic Ska

Jonathon Striker - Casino Jazz Club

Richter - Radio Reluts (LMAO that was helluva fun!)

I liked how there was a good mixture of diferent genres, although I think that the jazzy and funky songs prevailed. hell, even my song has some touches of jazz. Anyways, this was nice. And again , Nice Work.

    I TOTALLY LOVE YOU I thought nobody liked my mix ;_;

  2. Hello there, I play the Cello.

The only example of my Cello playing would be on VGmix and I'm not sure if it's still up. And plus, I don't have a good mic at the moment, but I may be able to siphon some stuff from University next year.

but I play the Cello...I did Grade 4 but apparently everybody says I'm much better than that. Apparently.

    -AND ALSO-

If you're a good pianist and you're lookin for a piece to play, let me know! I almost always need someone to play a piano arrangement of mine...

Fantastic. I'm always intrigued in how other people tackle remixing melodies which I've done before, seeing other interpretations of work - and this just goes to show you how dang varied music can be. This couldn't be further from me and MC's classical-ish interpretation of Hunter's Chance. Seriously. This thing is electronic music's answer to like, sliced cheese or stop signs. I absolutely LOVE the drum work throughout...it's fantastic throughout...and the little part at 3:40 is awesome.

Though I can understand a large group of people hating this song, I am impressed at the technical virtuosity of it.

    Hats off!

    I miss you so much! I miss your piano I miss it I miss it...;_;

Okay. On a serious note, Bladiator knows how much I envy his piano and his love and his excellent work. I was quite surprised at really how "chopinesque" this piece really was, to be honest. Then again, it is Bladiator. Fantastic work, I can't really say more apart from Bladiator when you gonna perform one of my pieces for me?!?!

And also, download this. Seriously. You owe it to your children.

And the recording wasn't that bad, come on. Just don't play it so loud if you're starting ta hear hiss o_O

omg omg omg omg omg omg omg Direct Postage Direct Postage my life is complete! Now I can finally say, out loud and proud,

    "I helped Dj Pretzel!"

Thanks for all the support that people gave for this song, the previous reviews on VGmix (which I wish I could go back and read but meh)

I think I have sheet music for this somewhere, so if you're really really desperate for it you can email me and I'll see what I can do. (I know I'm just gonna regret this, I get enough email with Waltz of Pain and Hunter's Etude-Scherzo as it is ^^")

Super thanks to DjP, much love, thanks to DjOrange who hooked me up with the soundfonts I used to make this song...oh yeah!

\o/ If anyone has any questions just post them here I'd be happy to answer. Enjoy!

  6. You hear that? That's the sound of my jaw dropping to the floor at 1,700,000 miles per hour.

THIS IS FANTASTIC! I've always been a great fan of Jeremy Soule (I thought Dungeon Siege had top notch music...well I think he wrote the score for that) and man does this remix take the cake and beat up all other orchestral remixes on this site.

You hear that? That's the sound of Russell Cox being beaten up.

Honestly, this song gave me chills. It's a fantastic arrangement, PERFECT execution and is a MUST DOWNLOAD. MUST MUST MUST. Especially if you're a fan of any of the scores he's penned since the style is recognisable. Blah. I'm not making much sense, my mind has been exploded by sheer awesomeness.

I hope he does more (but probably since he's a busy guy he won't but here's hoping). Even if there are no more to come, this is most definitely worth a lifetime's waiting to hear.

  7. Many people only make use of the softer, gentler side of the piano. It wasn't called a pianoforte for nothing, it can get incredibly loud and powerful! I thought that OCR needed a "stronger" piano remix choice just to show you that piano isn't just sappy love songs or tearful ballads. It's also got a lot of oomph and power behind it!

I hope I conveyed that well. And also, about 70% of the credit for this piece should go to MC. He did all the piano sequencing and did a fantastic re-arrangement of my arrangement. If you're interested in hearing what MC worked from you can download the sheet music from:

(if it doesn't work or it's the wrong sheet music please PM/email me and I'll see what I can do)

Anyway I'm glad to see people enjoying it, it's been a long ride but a worthwhile one. If you've got any questions I'd be happy to answer them to the best of my ability. Otherwise, enjoy!

(Keep an eye out for my next remix!)

  8. Somehow I picked up Mustafa. (along with Asmodeus and Diablos...)

THIS HERE IS THE SHIT. Right here in electronic music form, this is THE SHIT. I'm sorry, I normally don't do this but this song deserves it. It's THAT GOOD. analoq keeps getting better and better, and I thought this work deserved to be highlighted. With a fantastically killer bassline, deadly synths and evil names, put together with professional, uh, professionalism, you can't go wrong. THIS IS THE SHIT. DOWNLOAD IT. NOW.

  9. ...dang it, I'm not sure if there's like this great evil force that doesn't like me listening to yer show or something but GAH. Why oh why did the job interview for a job I didn't even want which my mum forced me to go to have to be at the same time as VGFrequency and be so far away as to take up like my entire evening?!?!

:( And I thought I'd be free since I'm on holiday.

  10. Well, I wasn't aware that there was an original "Sad Song" before SMRPG - if anyone knows what it is I'd like to check it out. ^_^

I wrote this piece basically quite structurally, the original source was only about a minute. But immediately when I heard it in game I knew that it was a fantastic song and was surprised to see that nobody had mixed it. So, I did it myself.

I wrote this quite a while ago and I'm glad it didn't get in first time. Listening back the version I submitted was horrible.

The song itself is divided into theme, variation 1, variation 2 and development and ending I think.

And I love Chopin, he's my favourite piano composer. Ever. So fantastic.

Any questions about the arrangement I'd be happy to answer them. Thanks for all the support! ^_^

  11. OMG NO dammit I'll miss tonights show dammit dammit! DAMN YOU REAL LIFE! I swear real life is out to get me sometimes. Why can't they just leave me be in my OCReMatrix and VGMatrix?!

Gah. I'll download the recording or something

EDIT: I think everyone should definitely be making bumpers, yeah, like yeah. It's the cool thing, all the cool kids are doing it, so BE COOL and make a BUMPER! © ® (ass)

  12. DOWNLOAD NOW. Get it. Jazz piano at its finest. Hell, piano at its finest. Heck, arrangement at its finest. IN FACT I'd go as far as to say music at its finset. Exquisitely performed, perfectly arranged and a musical journey of pure enjoyment. I could loop this song over and over again and not get sick of it. Fantastic, fantastic.

I especially like the unique sound at the end which I think is scratching the piano strings...I'm still waiting for a prepared piano piece to appear on OCR - and hopefully JiggityTitty will be the first to deliver. :)

Here's to more awesome piano arrangements and a huge congrats to JiggyTman for a fantastic mix.

  13. A pretty decent orchestral piece.

Just a couple of points I can think of to say:

    - Pretty decent arrangement.

    - The choir rubs me the wrong way. A midilike choir is a big no in my book, especially if you're going for a realistic orchestral feel.

    - My favourite bit is when the overworld theme (?) comes in. Very nicely done.

Nothing much else to say, really, other than that this is your staple orchestral mix, nothing more, nothing less.

Fans of this song should go and look for Russell Cox's Dragon Warrior - Journey of Solitude. It's as good if not better than this track.
