Hey everyone! Haven't been on here in a while... Anyway, I have a remix that I'd like to share with you all. This is a remix of what I guess you could call the "main theme" from Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (I mean, you hear it for the first eight stages), with a little bit of the main menu music thrown in. I hope you all enjoy it! YouTube link: MP3 link: http://www.taposse.com/remix/MBM_-_Mean_Bean_Dreams.mp3

Hey everyone, I just finished another remix! Hope you all enjoy it. This is a remix of Yellow Desert Zone from the somewhat obscure Game Gear game, Sonic Blast. I call it "Gritty Groove". Here's the original, as I'm sure many of you aren't familiar with this tune: And here are the links to my remix: MP3 link For the record, I don't like this game very much. I think it's pretty awful. But it had some pretty cool music!

finished Sonic Triple Trouble - Warm Horizon
mikeblastdude posted a topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Wow, I haven't posted here in years... XD Anyway, I've recently completed a new remix that I wanted to share with you all. This is a remix of Sunset Park Zone Acts 1 and 2 (not to be confused with the more popular Act 3) from Sonic Triple Trouble. I call it "Warm Horizon". I'm sure a lot of you won't be familiar with the original song, so here's a link for that: And here's the remix: MP3 link Keep in mind, I'm still no pro at this. I have been playing around in FL Studio a lot lately though, trying to improve my skills. With that said, constructive criticism is definitely welcome. I hope you all enjoy this! -
Sonic Advance 3 - Ocean Base WIP
mikeblastdude replied to mikeblastdude's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I can understand the comments about the bass at the beginning. I was kind of my intention to make it sound a bit "scratchy", but I suppose it is a bit overboard. I'll try to tone that down. Yeah, I agree that I need to add some more progression to this. I just started working off of the beginning of the song, and the next thing I knew my mix was 3 minutes long. XD So yeah, I'll try and add more source material in there, and maybe that'll help make it sound more lively as well. Anyway, thanks for the comments guys. I want to keep working at this, because I have a bad habit of dropping things that I start, but I feel like I've got a good start to this, so I'm going to try and keep going with it. Maybe I'll have another WIP up soon. Thanks! -
Hi everyone! I've posted here a few times in the past, not sure if anyone remembers me. Anyway, I'm a beginner at this whole remixing thing and I've been trying to improve over the months. The latest mix I've been working on is a remix of Ocean Base from Sonic Advance 3, one of my favorite Sonic games in recent years. As for the source, in Sonic Advance 3 each stage has 4 different variations of its theme, although I mainly focused on (only certain parts of the song actually). This definitely isn't finished, and I realize it still feels a bit "empty". I'm not sure exactly what else to add to it at the moment. Anyway, here's my WIP, hope you guys enjoy. Constructive criticism is definitely welcome. http://www.taposse.com/ocean_base_wip.mp3

This is a remix of Twinkle Snow from Sonic Advance 3 for the GBA, one of my favorite Sonic games in recent years. Anyway, before anyone makes any comments, I want to stress that I'm still a beginner at this. This is the third remix that I've done, and I personally think that I'm at least improving from my first mix, which is a good thing. With that in mind, constructive criticism is definitely welcome. I was inspired to do this after a recent snowstorm in my area. I wanted to give it kind of an "epic" feel to it while making it sound kind of techno at the same time. I changed the main melody up a bit, it came out sounding a bit strange, but I like how it turned out. Download link here: http://www.taposse.com/gleaming_blizzard.mp3 Enjoy!

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I agree about the sudden breaks, I can hear what you're talking about. I also plan on taking your advice about adding more into it, as I listen to it along with other remixes, it does seem a bit "empty". Well, thanks again, I'll continue working on this and hopefully will post another WIP soon.

Hmm, I'm kinda interested in this, although I'm new at this remixing thing so I'm not sure if I could do any of the songs justice. This does have my interest, though.
