You managed to turn the Ruined World 2 theme, one of my all-time favorite mood-setting pieces, into something I can jive to. That alone gets you my respect.
The work on the Celes theme was good, too.
As for the trumpet, I do not care whether it sounds "synthy" or not. What caught my attention more was the pipe organ. It just sounds right in the piece.
