    Very helpful post. I tried doing that and it just ended up sounding all synthy The distorted guitar in the middle of Aliseans 'Final Ecstasy' (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00063/) sounds EXACTLY like what I need. Anyone know how he achieved such a sound?

    Ok then... What about this one? http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/12/3/2210725/Earthbound%20Zero%20Intro%20-%20Remix_Jazzy.mp3 I replaced the guitar with a jazzy kind of sound and shortened some notes and stuff. Better or worse?

    This is an alternate version. I'm not sure if its better than the others... I replaced the drums with FPC and changed the guitar to FL Slayer. The guitar might be worse or it might be better...     I'm not sure how to fix that... For the other instruments I'm using WAV files but for the guitar I'm using a soundfont. All soundfonts seem to sound fake... Any idea's why? I'll try working on fixing the other things you mentioned.

    I shortened the intro, got rid of the 'flexy synth' and added some reverb effects. I also moved the 'dong dong dong dong' beatle-esque piano sections so they were in all of the main melody. http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/12/3/2210725/Earthbound%20Zero%20Intro%20-%20Remix.mp3

Hasn't got a proper title yet. This is my first remix and like my third time using Fruity Loops, so there's bound to be a few things that need to be changed. I'm not too sure how to make it sound more 'realistic'. Tell me what you think
