  1. I couldn't help noticing this topic. I know you guys probably won't listen to a "noob" (:-P) like me, but I highly recommend www.upload-mp3.com. A free account gets these:

    - 50 MB file upload limit

    - 500 MB of disk space

    - 256 MB of daily bandwidth transfer

That's if you sign up, they also offer an upload option where you don't need an account.

  2. There's two reasons that I can see this wouldn't be accepted... becuase I really really really like the way this was arranged aside from these.

    1) Not enough interpretation/original material. The only deviations from the source tune(s) are the fact that they drumline is very busy underneath the battle theme and the transitions in between. So its kind of pushing it. (http://www.ocremix.org/info/Submission_Standards_and_Instructions Check under the 4... generally a genre change is not quite enough to constitute enough arrangement.)

    2) Those sounds are terribly fake sounding... they are the samples that come with Finale? Sadly, those won't cut it on this site. If you want to find a collaborator who has amazing orchestral samples for brass and percussion, you may seek them, and they may help you out!

Other than those two issues, I thoroughly enjoyed it... you may want to learn a bit about production too, but then again if you collaborate with someone else, that end may be taken care of.

If you want it on this site, good luck, I'll be keeping and eye on this thread.

    Thanks for the feedback.

And about the sounds, I have GPO, but I just use it when posting my finale videos. My submission would have been with GPO sounds instead of finale sounds.

I edited the original post to include that recording.

  3. Hi, I'm new here, but I thought I'd get some feedback from you before I try submitting anything.

What I have done is taken the Pokemon game title screen theme (specifically the one from Crystal) and arranged it for Drum Corps (an ensemble which would be considered classical). After that, it goes into a percussion feature where the drumline has a drum break and the mallet percussion play the trainer battle theme from Red, Blue, & Yellow. I'm not sure if anyone has submitted for a drum corps before, and it seems pretty hard to get your arrangements accepted. However, here it goes.

    EDIT:

Here's the actual file that I would submit http://www.upload-mp3.com/files/19939_zqalg/Pokemon.mp3
