Moving it up made the discord sound worse to my ears so I changed it up a bit... except for one part in the middle I couldn't figure out at all. I wanted to attempt a more melancholy version of the track with emphasis on discord, but it doesn't seem to work as well as I'd like, at least in my skill set. I'll keep experimenting and trying to figure out how to make a piano sound natural though.

I am not as good a musician as the others hanging around here, so take what I say as a listener's commentary. I like the sound quite a bit and it feels like it could work in the game itself. It isn't something I would necessarily listen to as a standalone track, but it's enjoyable to listen to. If that isn't what you're going for, I'd push for it to be a bit more surprising; after the first few seconds you kind of knew what you were in for and the track just looped from there. This is very, very similar to the original song and it's main perk compared to the original is better instruments. With that said my biggest complaint with the sound is that the bass seems out of place compared to the rest of the instruments. It stood out in a bad way and I felt needed to take more of a backseat.

Something I've wanted to work on for a while. I'm interested in anyone's thoughts on the sound itself: https://soundcloud.com/overswarm/edgarandsabinv1 I kind of put three of the ideas into a shorter timespan and crammed it all together, but the idea itself is there. My goal is to combine elements from the Edgar & Sabin and the Coin Song themes using only a Piano and do so in a slower, more melancholy way. They're already fairly similar songs so the combination isn't too difficult, but experimenting I sometimes wonder if the "sadder" style even works for the song. Is this style something you could consider working for this arrangement, and does the Piano sound too unnatural?

Sounds good to me. The panning seemed a little hard; personal opinion is that the rhythm guitar doesn't need to be pushed so far to the left. That's just personal opinion though.

I haven't tried another soundfont player, but I have found one other soundfont that didn't work (since deleted) so it might not be something with the soundfonts themselves. I just bought the full version of FL and the soundfont player a few days ago, so I'm up to date. I've downloaded about 150+ soundfonts and other than your batch, only 1 hasn't worked so far. It'd be nice if I could get them to work as I haven't found many good free Piano ones. The process I use is the same for all my soundpoints; I unpack it if it is a sfArk or something like that and then add it to a folder within FL that shows up on the browser. I then drag+drop them to the pattern. I'll keep tinkering and see if I can find out what it is. EDIT: I just deleted them and re-downloaded them, restarted FL, and they now work. Weirdest thing. I'm not familiar enough with FL to know what could have caused it; the original downloads may have been corrupted in some way but I'm not sure. Either way they're working, so I don't care. Speaking of soundfonts, this has been a good resource: http://soundfonts.homemusician.net/ Not as good as ones you'd pay for, but if you're just getting started with soundfonts and want something that doesn't sound like total garbage it's a good place to look.

Yeah, full version and I have the soundfont player. Granted I'm new to FL, but I'm not new to technology or music programs and I've been able to get all my other soundfonts to work Has anyone else been able to get these soundfonts to work? I'm eager to find good soundfonts, as most of the links from the first post here are dead...

Unfortunately not. All my other soundfonts are working, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Maybe it's just me. o_O
