  1. I'm a female singer. (I play other instruments, too.) As far as current work, I'm doing Nostalgic Song for the Legend of Mana project right now, but it's not completed so I can't share that yet. I've got some stuff up on my Soundcloud and Youtube channel:

https://soundcloud.com/natalyazarraga/legend - "Legend," an original song.

    - "Secret Door," an Evanescence cover.

    - "Sundown," an original song.

I've got some more game/movie covers on my Youtube, as well as an original EP on my Bandcamp. The links to all that should be in my signature. :)

  2. See, this is what we should be responding to instead of throwing in random female composers. And here I come with a comprehensive list of every female OC Remixer that has contributed -

I hope this helps out in regards to the OP. If I'm missing anything, please clue us in!

I am also a VG remixer, among other things. I did something for the official FFIX album and I'm working on stuff for the Legend of Mana and Secret of Mana albums, and doing vocals for other people's remixes. I sing, play harp, piano, Irish bouzouki, recorder, glockenspiel, and other random stuff.

As for female video game composers... Kumi Tanioka is awesome for composing the soundtrack to Crystal Chronicles. Such an inspired work of art!

  3. @Terra

Wow, thank you for posting. Really impressive work... We're really looking for people with unique instrumental skills so we'll definitely be in touch soon. There's already a few tracks on the project I know could really shine with your help. Are the OCR forums the best way to keep in touch? If not PM us and let us know!

Yay, thanks! That's great to hear, I'd love to help and I can't wait to do so. OCR forums are fine for getting in touch. :)

  4. Awesome, I love Ocarina of Time.

Well, I'd like to offer up my performance skills to anyone who's interested! I can contribute female vocals, folk harp, piano, recorder, glockenspiel, djembe, tambourine and rainstick, and maybe Irish bouzouki.

Considering harp and Zelda go really well together, if you need a real harp, I can help you. :)

    Specific samples:

    (Serenade of Water harp cover)

(Oath to Order/Giant's theme harp cover)

(Evanescence cover with vocals, harp, recorders, and guitar)

    ("Sundown," an original song)
  5. Actually, we could really use female vocals. And additional live instruments are certainly welcome. Oh, and you can still do terra's theme, once the tracklist is full.

Great! If I'm correct, you're doing the Aria de Mezzo Carattere, yes? I love that song, and it would be awesome to sing for it, and/or play whatever is needed. That's it if you don't already have someone lined up to do female vocals on that track, of course. Shall we PM to discuss it further? :)

  6. Ooh, FFVI! If I had seen this earlier, I would have happily done Terra's theme, but it's cool.

Well, guys, if you need any help for your remixes, I am available.

I can contribute female vocals (a variety of styles) and folk harp. I can also play some recorder, piano, Irish bouzouki, glockenspiel, and whatnot. Since there are some vocal songs, I would LOVE to lend my voice to those! You can hear some examples here if any of you are interested:

  7. Hey guys. As a special Christmas gift for tonight and tomorrow, my three-song EP is up for a free download on my Bandcamp. Everybody likes free music, so go get it. It's name-your-price, so enter zero for teh free goodz. Tell me what you think! I am a constant work-in-progress. The first song is kind of Middle-Eastern, the second is medieval and pagan-inspired folk, and the third is proggy cabaret spacey piano rock. Each song shows a different aspect of my style, methinks.

(The second and titular song of the EP, "Sundown," also has a music video here on Youtube: http://youtu.be/97tPFtKql1A)

Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad! Enjoy. :)

  8. Hey guys! I just completed a three-song EP. I sang, arranged, and played all the instruments (i.e. harp, piano, guitar, dulcimer, recorder, etc.) except for percussion (i.e. djembe, tambourine, rainstick), which my husband did most of. There's a bit of programming here and there. Two of the songs have been posted here on OCR before, in their rough, unmastered versions. My music is a mixture of folk with art rock and world music, so it's a little offbeat. I put a lot of soul into this 100% self-produced collection of original songs (all three are relatively different styles), so I hope you all enjoy it. I'm no pro, but I'm studying to get there. :)

You can hear the songs (and buy a CD/download if you like them) at my Bandcamp page below:

    http://natalyazarraga.bandcamp.com/

Also, I have uploaded an official music video of the title song, "Sundown," to Youtube. My husband directed, filmed, and edited it , and he also played a part in it. It prominently features my harp and pretty nature things, haha. Let me know what you think, and feel free to share it with your friends and family if you like it!

In any case, any kind of feedback would be appreciated. Enjoy the music! ^_^

  9. I don't think I have enough time to remix a track, BUT, if anyone needs female vocals, harp (folk/lever, not pedal), glockenspiel, piano, or whatever, I can contribute! So if you would be willing to list me as an asset, that would be excellent. You can hear my stuff at www.natalyazarraga.com and/or www.youtube.com/roseofmay if you would like a sample. :D

  10. Oh, my... Such a profusion of beauty! LoOoOoOove it!

That's a very catchy harmony. Those chords remind me a bit of Hava Nagila, but they do have their own special character to it, and it's soOoOoOo eastern. Your voice adds to it like sandy graceful wind. Also, <3 that harp *_*

The low frequencies of this sound a bit hot for me, but I think it's such a lil' detail for such an awesome track!

Thank you so much! How interesting that you were reminded of Hava Nagila - both songs are in the Phrygian dominant scale, so it makes sense. Jewish/Hebrew folk music is really cool. World music in general is just awesome!

I can see where you're coming from about the hot low frequencies. I blame the inconsistency between all my monitoring devices, haha. I'll probably try and fix that before I put it on the EP I'm releasing soon.

wow I loved this! I really love eastern music and you captured that dynamic so perfectly, from your voice to everything else! Amazing job!

Thanks! I really, really appreciate the feedback. I'm glad I accomplished what I set out to do with this song. :D

  11. During the Sony conference, my husband and I laughed really hard when they were showing the Ruin gameplay demo for PS Vita, and the announcer guy breathed heavily and occasionally broke from his speech to ask the player "where ya goin'?" and "how ya doin'?"

    0:41 and 1:18.
