Tristan Burfield Next Generation Sounds 3 inch CDR (limited edition of 20) release out now on Quagga Curios Sounds (UK retail: £3.90 inc p and p)
Taking influence from the Synth pop of The Concerts of China era Jarre and Tin Drum era Japan/David Sylvian, Tristan Burfield has created an E.P with a definite eastern flavor.
As minimal as it is evocative this release sees Tristan expanding his sound palette from the classic sounds of the first generation Gameboy into the new pastures of the latter day Nintendo DS. Using solely the limitations of this humble consumer device Tristan has created a new visionary retro futurist soundtrack that manages to embrace the nostalgia of the past in a progressive contemporary format.
Rubber stamped CDr is packaged in a 4 X 6 inch clear zip lock bag. Each copy includes fold out full colour artwork with the track listing and information printed on orange, green or blue paper. For added fun two stickers and glitter confetti are included as well.
