I do it until it's mostly right - I usually do very minor editing, like when I accidentally press two keys that are next to each other at once. If I make a mistake, it's so much easier to just delete the whole section and play it again, rather than stop, go in with the mouse, find the mistake, pull the notes over....I'm trying to have fun here you know. Same reason why I don't do any pitch editing with vocals, if I sang it wrong, I just sing it again.
