georgie23
I'm not sure how to phrase this question so bear with me. I am using fruity loops v7 XXL and using rewire to slave propellerhead reason v4. I can record, use the fruity mixer, and everything else. Everything sounds fine except when I use instruments like the Subtractor BassQue.zyp. If you hold a note down and then play another note it kind of slides into the next note. When I record it through fruity, this sounds fine while playing, but when I play back the recorded notes, the transition doesn't play, only the first part of the note before I play the second note. When I close fruity loops and play only the reason file, the notes play properly. Does anyone know how to fix this??
Yoozer
Do the notes in FL overlap when you look at the piano roll? The sliding effect is called portamento (or glide), the playing technique needed to make it work is called legato.
georgie23
Thanks for your reply (and the theory lesson!). I am actually playing the notes out on a keyboard, and they are recorded in Reason. The notes are overlapping in Reason. When I play the Reason file by itself without slaving through Fruity it plays fine. Any thoughts?
