jmr
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhIuE32MA5s Earlier this year, a friend (any shizzies here know him as streifig) and I made this cover of the theme from the movie Siberiade, originally composed by Edward Artemiev. We originally released it on the Concatenation Records compilation A Chip off the Shizz Block vol. 3, but I recently made a video for the song (mostly as an excuse to share the song around...). I took care of the NES elements (it's actually recorded from the real hardware, which is a first for me) and the mixing/mastering, and streifig completely blew my mind with multiple layers of guitar, ranging from ambient drones to a double-tracked solo. I consider this to be by far the best piece of music I've ever hand a hand in creating. The music video is made up of public domain archival footage of fires, sort of as a homage to the scene in the original film where this song is used.
