What type of synths does Capcom use for like Marvel Super...

What synthesizer does capcom use to make the songs from Darkstalkers, Marvel Superheroes and most of their older games? I was thinking maybe it's just a simple soundfont modded, but I don't do the MIDI thing, but if it is, and you know which kind it is, then let me know.

They all use the CPS2 sound board with QSound. There was no synthesis, it played back recorded samples. Most of these games shared a similiar set of samples which gave them a distinctible sound.

For Darkstalkers type stuff, all you need is a moog and an 808.

For the more metal stuff like Marvel Superheroes and Cyberbots, you're out of luck, like stated above that's wavetable within the CPS2 hardware.

Linn Drum Machines

Minimoog

Roland JV-1080
