I’m moopuns, and I was told this spot would be a great place to share a project I’ve been working on — a complete refresh of the Nintendo 64 version of Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense! All tracks are accounted for, as well as the three endings exclusive to the cutscenes here. My main inspiration was a recent remaster of Pokémon RYE, which took high-quality samples from the game’s original source and gave it a beautiful update. I figured it couldn’t be too difficult to try doing it myself, right? Ha ha ha… hah… uh… …Anyways, I basically went in blind with most everything. After doing a bunch of frustrating runaround work, I broke ground and began the arduous task of grabbing sequencing and finding the samples. After compiling it all together, I had to record missing parts and master the result. I put as much love into this as I possibly could, and I really hope you enjoy the final product!
