Very jolly, happy tunage from the Pancake Chef, complete with a goofy lil marimba solo. Overtop a very nice tribal party groove, a fantastic guitar like sound that pulls off very cool slides, has nice effects, and does a badass trill of sorts at 1'35" basically carries the song, a ReMix of 'Delightful Spekkio' from fan favorite Chrono Trigger. It's refreshing to me to hear major key pieces that aren't straight techno and aren't afraid to have a little fun. Production quality is high and the elements all sit well in the mix. Short, and kinda just ends, but gets it's message across and covers all the bases. Good idea, well executed.

:sniff: I miss me my pancakey goodness. Ah...memories. Doesn't it make you want to go to the beach and eat pancakes in the warm sun?

Noone could accuse this mix of being subtle. It grasps the tropical cliche and just strangles it for every bit of life it has in it. Thankfully, there is plenty of life in the music to show for it.
It's hard to hate anything that sounds so energetic and joyous. It just sounds like a musician having a lot of fun making music, and I really dig that. Not anything to really ponder over; if you want to sit and reflect it would be wise to look elsewhere. But for something that encapsulates the fun and festivities of a saure or a shindig, it's will be difficult to top this.

When it starts, i'm ready for the final countdown, but it changes pretty quickly to a party vibe. I love the lead synth, but don't think it completely fits with the tropical party vibe. I think having a backing synth would help mix things together a bit more cohesively, and there are some sound effects here and there that somewhat fit the bill, but they only really occur at transitions.
Source-wise I dig it, my computer class in high school used to crank this song up every day to get motivated. Even now I get motivated from it. Motivated to DANCE ON THE BEACH!! YEAHHH!!!

I find the first 10 seconds slightly annoying, but the rest of the remix is pretty good. Would make decent town music if the author perhaps were to rework it.

A great song, just a little too short. But don't let that discourage you.

I love tropical(see name), and I love Spekkio's theme. The mix seemingly made just for me :0 Truly awesome job.

wheee. this tune always reminded me of The Lion King, a fine movie if i do say so myself. the uber-cheerful vibe’s contagious. i can’t help but smile. the smooth guitar lead’s the best part, very catchy

Ahh...
this mix is probably one of my favourites.
I like the whole 'Hawiian' feel to it.
It makes me want to live on a small undiscovered island in the pacific...
But hey, thats just me.

This mix is definately one to save and listen to during your vacation this summer to the Bahamas. The bass was rockin, the bells were rockin, everything is great. A great tune, although not a top tune, still a great one.
