Howsabout some WillRock Mega Man 5 hard rock, with newcomer Josh Kruszyna assisting on EXTRA guitars, for EXTRA mojo? Works for me:
"Put off subbing this. :( So, after the 2nd GRMRB, DarkeSword announced the Wily Castle Remix Gauntlet, in which teams of 3 took it in turns to win against all the other teams in an every-team-for-himself style thing per round. I got halc and Nutritious together and we took it in turns to do remixes, in which I sometimes contributed a solo. A few collabs might come your way, guys. ;)
The 3rd round was my go, and I decided to go with something familiar style wise, so I rocked it. Went solo tho. Fast forward a few weeks and I'm updating it, in comes Josh Kruszyna, aka EXshad on forums. I met him through a Sonic fan game project and we ended up doing a few collaborations. It fell through, but we stayed in contact. He has wanted to do a remix with me for... quite a while now. I decided to let him do some extra guitars. His tone is a little more razor sharp than mine, see if you can pick it out. :)
So... breakdown! Quite a complex arrangement, needs a breakdown so here goes:
0:13-0:35 - Arps loosely based on arp sections in MM5 Wily Stage at 0:30 and 0:40
0:35-0:46 - Bass from Air Man opening riff - Guitar riff from MM5 Wily Stage opening
0:46-0:57 - Air Man opening riff
0:57-1:03 - Guitar riff from MM5 Wily Stage opening - Air Man 0:11 section
1:03-1:35 - Air Man verse/chorus section - 1:30: melody from MM5 Wily Stage verse
1:58-2:08 - Wily Stage verse section leads
1:58-2:42 - Bass based on opening Wily Stage riff
2:41-2:52 - Arps loosely based on arp sections in MM5 Wily Stage at 0:30 and 0:40
2:52-3:04 - Bass from Air Man opening riff - Guitar riff from MM5 Wily Stage opening
3:04-3:14 - Air Man opening riff
3:14-3:36 - Wily Stage verse section leads
3:47-3:57 - Guitar riff based loosely on Wily opening riff"
That's quite the musical wallop... and quite the mix title. I'd truly love to see some fan art depicting Air Man in said g-string. Not, you know, because I'm into that... just because it would be amusing. Stop looking at me that way. Sizzlin' hats, thwacking snares, wankin' guits, and a really nice, focused + funky synth solo @ 1'03" are all highlights, and the overall structure does a sweet job of transitioning into different grooves while maintaining a consistent energy & momentum. We'll close with some thoughts from the indefatigable Larry Oji:
"The "Air Man" theme may stand out a bit more for folks due to the sheer familiarity, but this is an excellent MM5 rock mix that subtly uses that game's Dr. Wily theme as the foundation alongside excellent original guitar work as well as seamless use of the MM2 material. Will & Josh's guitar performances were polished, and I'm always a big fan of Will's synthrock material, which always sounds super authentic. Not bad for a product of the '90s. ;-D"

This is a good remix and I love the classical music pun (it's a pun on Bach's classic, "Air On a G String").

Classic WillRock: makes you feel as if you've been transported back to the '80s. (correct me if I've got the wrong decade, but it screamed "80s" to me)
This mix got me hitting the "download" link partway through listening to it—high praise from me. A solid mix, and nothing sounded out of place, even with the two sources being three games apart.
My only gripe: IT'S TOO SHORT! And if that's my only gripe, then it's a solid piece indeed.

Air Man is one of the few Mega Man themes I can pick up within the first five seconds, seeing as I'm still new to the series and to hear it combined with a bit of Wily's 5th castle sounds great. Guitar playing was well done by both artists and I enjoyed the arrangement in general. Nicely done.

That source breakdown. I like the focus on synths in this. I especially like the laid-back part around 2 minutes and the following solos. This is a cool track.

Uplifting and well-thought-out rendition of a classic theme. Oh, and I think Josh's guitar is at 2:54.

I'm really surprised this got listed under Mega Man 5. That source is used in a really subtle way--I'm a huge fan of the original, and have the official "Rock Arrange" version on my daily playlist, and it's still really hard for me to pick out here, except for a few seconds here and there.
