The problem with this in my opinion is that a majority of the user mods for the game will probably simply be different maps and campaigns. With the current setup of the game, there are only so many variations of how to get from point A to point B that can be implemented. I never played all that much TF2 (I have to listen to atfag talking about it constantly) but from what I can see with TF2 user content enhanced the game because variations in maps could severely change the balance of classes and give different strategies as to winning, not to mention the fact that there are many different game modes and these can be tweaked to create new and innovative game modes (like the creation of the Steel map). In Left 4 Dead, you have 4 characters that play exactly the same, each with the same weapons. No matter what map you're playing on it will always be: kill the zombies, progress and hide if needed, kill the zombies, progress and hide if needed, etc. So basically you're the type of person who actually LIKES having a girlfriend that's extremely controlling over how you go about your life.

So I think that we're just gonna get rid of our server for a few reasons. Server admins have basically zero control over how things are run (even if it's on vs mode or co op), it gets almost no use out of everyone in the steam group since the lack of a lobby makes it less desirable, and my brother, who is the much bigger gamer of the two of us, is ALREADY BORED OF THE GAME. I tend to agree with him. The lack of continuity is a huge minus if you ask me. At this point I'm just really glad that I only played it on his steam account instead of both of us buying it to play together.

OK there should now be a server on the full version that's tied to the OCR steam group (should have the OCR symbol next to it). It's set up for an 8 slot vs mode server, and me and my brother would encourage as many of you as possible to use it and let us know what issues arise (because the matchmaking is so buggy at this point we're sure there will be issues). When you load the game wait at the title screen for 5-10 seconds and it should appear at the bottom.

Our server has now been linked up to the OCR Group on Steam, and hopefully come midnight it should be switched over to the full version! Valve is making it really difficult for server admins to set things up the way they want it, though.

Ok this is Atmuh making a post (I asked permission first so it's ok!). First off I think it's about time I made a post about what's happened with me buying a server and whatnot. It seemed that, sadly, the OCR server was facilitating to the community less and less. I don't blame Bahamut for missing the complaints of various posters (including myself, quite vocally) because he's a real busy guy and I know what it's like to have life get in the way of internet affairs. So with the launch of my server, I think I sparked a little more awareness with the admin crew, which is really all we wanted in the first place, so I am completely satisfied. I don't really play on mine anymore, and anyone who's seen my brother's posts in the Left 4 Dead thread knows that I'm converting my server over to Left 4 Dead. This is basically because, as I said, my TF2 server has more or less served it's purpose, and in the process I've learned quite a bit about server commands as well as sourcemod commands, which makes me happy because I love learning new stuff no matter what it is really. Now I'll move on the the OCR only Saturdays. First off I'm the kind of person that will play a lot of different maps so I enjoy trying new maps and it was rather enjoyable to see something new. The only things I didn't like were the whole "LETS LET THEM WIN SO WE CAN SEE MORE OF THE MAP." In my opinion that's just dumb. I (and many others are behind me but as usual I'm the only one with the balls to say it) also didn't like that these nights really aren't truly OCR only, but instead whoever can get the password night. If you read back to when people were suggesting that we do this, it was with a specific purpose in mind. It wasn't with the intention of a night with no pubs, it was instead a night where OCR folk could play on a night without a CERTAIN GROUP OF PEOPLE (you know who I'm talking about). I think the password should be more word of mouth than simply a first post, or admins should actually enforce it. I might not count as an OCR person since I'm banned and whatnot, and I'd respectfully restrain from playing on these specific nights if you people wanted to keep it strictly OCR only if you people didn't want me. On that topic, I continue to have trouble with certain ZUZ members with team stacking and general faggotry. Voting to scramble the teams does nothing if Ubel is gonna switch to the team with the rest of them anyway. Also being that I still have server even though it's gonna be L4D any wonderful donations would be wonderful. ◕◡◕

Just press ESC and hit call vote > difficulty. And yeah we took the password off because with valve's current setup a passworded server doesn't mean anything really. The setup is actually really awful at this point and hopefully for the full version it isn't. When we put a password on it it'll always be "OuO" though.

Hello! This is Atmuh's brother and we do indeed have a server. In order to not only join the server but also favorite it type openserverbrowser in the console to bring up the steam server list that I'm sure you're all used to. http://www.game-monitor.com/left4dead2_GameServer/216.246.109.132:27015/ We would also like to add that the server is [intentionally] not fully updated, and cheats are enabled. This not only means that the server is not publicly joinable but also that you can utilize various exploits which were fixed in the patch that was released just as the demo went public. The best (in my opinion) of these is the ability to PLAY AS THE ZOMBIES FROM VS MODE. Also, we're thinking of passwording the server for the first week or so since I'm sure a public 12 slot vs mode server would fill up INSTANTLY but we'd much rather play with you people instead. How does that sound? Oh and impossible is a real difficulty setting, We've set the server difficulty to Impossible and have played on it also Who's the admin of the OCR Group? This could work well for both the TF2 server and this one.

ok i am going to have a little bit of fun with this one and then i promise i wont post again how on earth do you find them fun in any way outside of wish they have absolutely zero personality and wont so much as say a single word to you unless it is pertinent to SUPREME VICTORY i one played with just me and 3 of them on 2fort with alltalk on and i tried to talk to them and whatnot and the only thing that the dude on my team said was "my tele goes here" so i dont see how you find them fun in any way the server would be a bit empty without them? i can name at least 3 people right off the bat that leave as soon as they start to show up, and im sure the list is longer than that and dhsu i tend to agree with you except most people will just leave
