  1. Please, no Colette voice samples. I fucking HATE her voice. I demand decapitation if you reply to this with "I will do my best.". ToS players know why.
  2. I think so, no-one else can access those forums than members of the project.
  3. I think Kyle wouldn't mind changing the track-sequence. I suggest asking him when he returns. Or ask Lea about it. Nice work Ichi!
  4. Besides, you can always get someone to do the lyrics for you.
  5. So... I've got a new WiP. Not entirely sure about this one though. I'm going to add some stuff to the intro during the new harp section. (playing the actual melody once there is in the planning) Same goes for the guitars. I'll need some help on those things for the stuff after that though, since I've never written for guitar, so I don't know what exactly is possible and what sounds good. As for the singing: once the entire intro is finished and the first part of the guitar is done, I'lls tart writing the melody and lyrics. Anyway... Clicky! Note: this is the last WiP I'm slamming on the internet in a while, since the song is getting more of a shape and body now. EDIT: I made another change to the intro by replacing a part of the synth by a nylon guitar. The high melody pad now seems to clip at certain points though, but I can't see any distinct peaks in the waveform. Any solutions to this? EDIT2: Nevermind, I got help and now it's fine.
  6. Well, it's just a very early WiP. I'm going to add some more stuff to the intro. I noticed someone say that he heared 2 synths in the intro. That's odd, because it's one synth. (I can send you the soundfont if you like ) Should I remove the lower bass part from it, or add some variation to that? Also, I'm going to change the signature for the intro. Once the drum kicks in, it's okay, but with just these instruments, it's nothing. (Hmm, maybe I'll add a high lead guitar there, too... Just to fill it up) As for the transistion: I'm loosely getting inspiration from a Camel song, so expect something along those lines. I'm keeping it a surprise for all of you. Hehe, well, this is going to be great: 2 guitarists, a singer and a keyboard player (yes, I play keyboards)... All we need is a bassplayer and a drummer and we're set for a band. Thanks for the support so far!
  7. Update on the WiP-front! As my network is bitching today, I have just uploaded a new mp3 instead of replacing the first one. Here's the link.
  8. Glad you like them. After listening to the spc again it seems I've got to change a few things in this intro, I'll try to do that tonight so I can update this mp3.
  9. I could give it a shot; I mean playing da guit4rz I'll just get the basics of the track started this week (test week at school, not much time). I'll contact you when t3h need for guit4rZZ is there. EDIT: Yay for having a break between studying. Here's my first veeeery quick WiP. I backed off from the 6/8 thingy and made it 5/8 instead.
  10. Just to let you know that I actually AM working on my piece, I've decided to throw away the piece's 3/4 measure and inserted a typical 6/8, which gives me a better base for a symphonic rock beat. Yes, I'm aiming for a symphonic rock tune, wether or not it's going to contain guitars is something else.
  11. Thanks. I'll try to keep it between those 2 notes. Side note: that's about my range, too. I know, disproportionally high for a guy. Can go lower than F2 though. Yay for baritones. Anyway, I've found 1 thing about Hydropolis... It's a town with water. (As if the name didn't give that away...) But please, I need more information for my lyrics to make sense. They'll have to at least connect a BIT to the game. Play the game! It really rocks! Come ooooon! Hydropolis isn't too far in, anyway. I'd tell you more about it but it's been a while since I played through it. I'm trying to find the time to do it now, but I'm only at that first mountain pass. I will, but I haven't got the time this week. Maybe next week though... But still, I want to go ahead and at least have a little beginning. How far is it into the game? Like, 2 hours?
  12. Thanks. I'll try to keep it between those 2 notes. Side note: that's about my range, too. I know, disproportionally high for a guy. Can go lower than F2 though. Yay for baritones. 13. Err, Rexy, before I'm starting to write the stuff for the vocals, could you give me an indication of your reach? I don't want to write something you can't sing. And can someone hook me up with more information about Hydropolis? I can't find ANYTHING!
  14. Alright, thanks. I'll let you know once I start something up and come to the conclusion vocals could very well be incorporated. (likeliness to add vocals: 75%)
  15. I'd like to claim "Hydropolis" if that's possible. From both these games I have only played Tales of Symphonia (and I'm not even half through with that one...), but this song compells me very much. I'm sure I can think of some way to remix it properly. (maybe some vocal stuff... Rexy, you available?)
