Glad to finally have someone accompany my Tetris Attack mix! Also, considering my TA remix was ALSO my debut mix on OCR, this one is a little extra special.
Love how mellow it is despite the craziness of the beat.

I find myself coming back to this thread just to listen to this tune, like 3 or 4 times a week. I'm so tempted to just download and keep a copy of what you have now, but I trust that you'll make it even better! I'm very excited to hear your progress.

A couple years ago I was in a Fry's with my dad and we were looking at HDTVs - a rep came up to us and asked if there were any questions, and my dad asked why some artifacts occurred at exactly the same time on several brands at once. The rep said that they weren't playing a BluRay or any kind of HD footage (though logos onscreen said so several times) - it was just coming from compressed video on a harddrive in the back, making comparing screens pointless.
So the general sentiment you guys are posting is probably right.
I've always assumed that was the case, though I have noticed that everytime a pixar movie comes to dvd it gets played on every TV in the store for the entire day.

I walk into Circuit Shitty and Best Buy, I see a lot of nice TV s with a great picture, personally. Maybe that varies from area to area?
I walk into my local best buy and see a lot of nice hdtv's but the picture always always ALWAYS looks like ass.

Can you explain what's so enjoyable about the game that one would continue to play it? I know it's not a game you can "beat."
well it's pretty fun in the same way that harvest moon is fun. lots of stuff to do.

thanks for the comments, I will continue to post future revisions. and yeah, this isn't a "conventional" chiptune, everything was written in FL, most of the synths and NES kits are VST.

I am playing it right now, but we did not pay money for it. There's only like 4-5 Nintendo songs in the game, most of them are orchestral. The jam sessions and maestro features are pretty goofy and fun but I'm pretty stoned so who knows.
aka I definitely would not spend $50 on this if I were you, give it a rent or get a copy of it some other way

Be sure to check out their earlier albums, especially 'Classics'.
I second the Ratatat, they are the best. Classics and LP3 are their best, but the earlier albums are great too. LP3 has lots of chiptune sounds in it <3

I know it has nothing to do with the submission date, so what determines the order in which mixes are posted (or judged for that matter)?

...defrosting states has occasionally frozen my mac - nothing freezes mac - i can usually force quit anything - not sure if it related to full screen or running higher quality - but it sucks
this sounds terrible, maybe i will play it in parallels.
