  1. I WILL NOT LET THIS HAPPEN.

Even if I have to go to Arizona myself and steal Zimish/Pocketman's computer to get the songs.

haha, i really do apologize XO.

i swear to God i just read your pm and sent one to Gimgak. When my old computer fried i realized i lost his e-mail. so all i have to do is wait for it and send them!

Shame no one wants the map theme.

    I'm up for it Taucer!

  2. Coolness! I'll be looking forward to this. I'm always getting out this game (not to mention the other handheld Kirbys) to listen to the sound test. XD

Sweet! Thanks. Yours is going very well.

And yes, that's one thing I really enjoy about Kirby games.

It's probably a good idea that you're keeping it small. I have like a million and fifty-two songs to cover for my project. XD

Ya, and i'd hate to get half way and stop. Haha.

    WELCOME TO THE LOOKING GLASS!

I've wanted to do this for a while now, but i've been beat to the punch a few times already. Most recently with Hylian Lemon's Zelda project. However, i'm planning on my project to be quite a bit shorter. I just feel Kirby games don't get remixed enough, with the exception of Green Greens. And if Kirby games do get remixed it's usually the older ones. So I chose this game to remix for my one-man-project.

    Here is the game plan:

*I'm aiming for 20-25 minutes of music.

*I have already chose the songs that I will be remixing, listed below.

*This is NOT an OC remix project. It's me, having some fun and hoping some kirby fans will enjoy it too.

*This is the WIP forum, so I will take critique, however I probably won't change a whole lot.

*I'm not going to spend 3 years on this, like some other Kirby project, or any project. This will be a short, 1-2 month project. I hope.

    *Thanks for reading this.

  4. This is interesting. This is one of my favorite source tracks. The opening sounds almost flawless. It's brilliant. I like the drums. At :33 it builds into :40 and feels weird, yet I think it works. I like the instruments and the feeling. However at 1:04 when it repeats a little bit it would rock if the melody was played there. I like your slow part, but it feels to early. I would like this to build more, and get even more crazy.

Props for this though, this track is a bitch. I don't believe i've ever heard a good remix. Facelessman had one a few years back but never finished. And L Spiro had a decent one too.

  5. Well, he does have a point. I am a prick, but only when given a reason to be. Blasting someone for not kissing their ass on command is a good way to get me started!

Pocketman, post this Masterpiece of yours! I give you my word that if I was wrong in any way, shape, form, or fashion, I will retract any and all negative statements made by me to this point. Do you accept?

    Jacta alea est!

    no i don't accept.

But I would like to apologize to you. Seriously. Lets just leave this and move on. This thread is a waste of both and everyones time.

  6. HAHAHAHA you mean the same project forum where you pretty much abandoned directing a somewhat promising remixing project? From what I've seen your posts haven't been much more than a waste of bandwidth.

    Super Mario 64

    Pokemon

    Xenogears

    Mega Man 4

    Crescendo to Chaos

  7. Or you could stop replying to it.

    And post the movie.

But you never intended to to begin with, did you? You just wanted attention. Mission accomplished.

why would i never intend to?

and for the ten or so time, i don't want attention.

  8. You know what? Enough of you. Several people have TRIED to

be civil and tell you need some help here. Everyone is wrong, and we don't see your genius, at least that's the impression you give to even the nicest compliment you've had on this page. You are ridiculously blinded by pride, and you make shitty movies. Please put down the camera, and never try to be artistic again. Also, delete your account on OCR. You are useless, and no one likes you. Your conversations are inane. Actually, stay here and be our bitch if you'd like, you are at least amusing to us for your ignorance. Maybe we can make a video of it. We don't need 1000 bucks to show how dumb you are.

fuck you. i can't believe you would say that. no one likes me huh? have you looked in the projects forum? oh you probably never go there.

why don't you leave you prick?

better yet, go fuck your mom.

  9. Hey, don't get me wrong. I never outright said anything overly negative about the film except for the fact that Twisted Metal is a questionnable choice with no budget and only film student resources for car chases etc.

Look at my previous posts-I was genuinely interested in knowing the full plot of the film and such forth only to get no answer, and I thought my post was trying to divert attention away from the very vague Sweet-tooth/Joker paralell he'd gotten fixated on.

Also, the lack of budget is not what bothers me, I go to the student film festival at my uni every year and despite what some people here have said, you don't need much of a budget to have a decent standard of acting.

A lot of very successful european/arthouse films have a near non existant budget anyway, so I don't know how much stock I put in 'no budget=bad quality film'. Wes Anderson for instance is one of my favourite directors, and his films are built largely on character interaction, awkward dialogue and a creatively indie soundtrack. I'm not saying I'm expecting the same level I would of a cinema film, I'm just saying that it is possible to get a vision across without depending too much on a massive budget. Not easy, per se, but definitely possible. I do expect if nothing else, PocketMan's film has at it's core a certain enthusiasm for Twisted Metal that you do not come across every day.

But then he went off on a side tangent, getting indignant with me on a few points, saying he hated his movie and such forth which makes me wonder why he posted it in the first place, unless he was just saying it because he'd had enough of the people unreasonably ragging on him; not really meaning it.

As I've said before, it's not pleasant to deal with a bunch of sharp toothed internet critics, but he only posted the trailer-he should be confident enough that the finished product would shut them up, or at least satisfied enough with it himself.

Since he obviously had intentions to post the film originally, got discouraged by the less than pleasant feedback at the lowest points, I feel that his saying "he never expected praise" etc is just an overly defensive final retreat, and it's sad to see someone reduced to that rather than just being able to post his full film and be a bigger man than the unreasonable critics, trying to learn from the constructive ones or worst case scenario, just call it a day and stop jumping to the defense of every less than positive post.

I'd rather see him post his film and rise above the haters or not post it and leave the thread with a little dignity as I said before. I'm not trying to belittle him to seem big, I read this thread without even posting until it became painful to read and I thought I might reasonably intervene, but failed to do so.

if you read what you just wrote it can be summed up into a few sentences. i lost my place reading this a few times cause you wrote exactly the same thing a few times.

and leaving this thread with a little dignity? Wtf? nah, i'll leave with it all. and you guys can sit here and oh i don't know, jack off or something.

if you wanna see the movie PM me. when i get it uploaded i'll send you the link.

  10. Seriously though, you claim to be 19, but at this point I'm honestly thinking you're 12-14 (mentally, definitely)

Now, I know that at this traumatizing point in your life you desperately seek any sort of social praise/acceptance

    I don't want praise.

can i make it more clear?

Plus everything else you said was plagiarized from everyone else.

  11. You're welcome. And yeah, you are immature. I was trying to give you a boost, given the situation you've landed yourself in with this thread, but you know what? You deserve every minute of it. You come here, and you expect that us lowly forum goers are going to kiss your ass and praise you because you made a derivative movie based on a video game. I'll tell you something, you're movie will sit on a shelf. And it's probably for the better, because I'm willing to bet that we called it correctly. You're movie probably did copy "The Dark Knight" and you know if we tear you down for it, the rest of the internet will tear it to shreds. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and stop trying to make movies. Got take five years, grow up, and find out what making movies is really about instead of running around in face paint and thinking you're something special. I've done indie movies too across many different roles, and I've seen more than my share of people like you. You will one day get a role as an extra in some big film, and it will be your crowning achievement forever. Get a life buddy, and don't quit your day job.

    I don't want praise.

I won't stop making movies. Ever. It's my dream. And even if every single last person on Earth thinks I suck I still won't stop. I love doing it. Not because I want to see anyones reaction, but because it's so fun.

FYI, i've already been an extra. But I won't mention that cause you'll just say I have a big ego.

  12. Wow...

    What a douche.

That's prolly the nicest comments you'll get on this situation, and you shoot it down.

If you can't take the heat, stay the hell off the internet.

Keep your movie, and stop bitching about criticism that you basically asked for by making a thread about it.

PS: Seriously, what is up with you and not using caps? It's not a big deal, but that's a strange habit.

it's the same crap i've been getting.

but ya I guess starting this thread was a dumb idea.

oh and to your P.S. i only really started doing that in the last couple weeks. possibly because i'm so tired all the time and in a rush. i'm taking on about 20-25 more hours a week at work. and it's killing me.

  13. To that I ask, what would you do with it if you didn't post it? Not going to do much sitting on the shelf you know.

And briefly, you're only making it harder on yourself. I'm not going to hurl accusations of plagiarism at you because it was a trailer and, in my mind, trailers can be anything at all. But that's not what I was making a point about. Your movie is a B-movie. It's indie, and by comparison to a Hollywood professional film, it's crap. That being said, many people will still enjoy it for what it is. There's no sense in getting a big head and going on a rampage over some trolls (and not even established trolls either). It just makes you look immature and it doesn't say much about your movie. Learn to accept that there will be detractors, take what you can use from their opinions, and move on. Some of us want to see what this thing looks like.

ok, that didn't help at all.

ya it is going to sit on my shelf. we made it cause we like the game. no other reason. so i don't care who sees it. really.

oh and i'm very glad you think i'm immature. thank you.
