Composers are always borrowing from other composers, even the likes of Holst. It's just the evolution of music, Bach was the 'father' of modern harmonisation, which evolved during the later periods and is what you hear today in any song you hear. Except perhaps a-tonal and eastern-styled pieces, but even then... more evolution. And what a brilliant evolution it is.
