  1. Do you have any tips on bringing out the acoustic guitar during the solo?

Unfortunately no, but I think that's an excellent idea. :)

Yeah, the acoustic solo was the only part that kinda threw me off- it starts pretty good, then from like 1:25 to 1:31 the guitar disappears. I'm sure someone around here can help.

Great track you're working on here. Very upbeat, happy, and surprisingly clean!

Oh, one other thing: I noticed a little break in the music around 4:23-4:24 as you're finishing the song. Maybe try to close that gap up.

Best of luck with this! Hope to see it posted in the future!

  2. Hey there everybody. I was trying to figure out where these tracks came from- my friends wants me to create some similar sounding music for a game they're creating. I tried to pick some of the more distinct songs from the many I received.

Sorry that I used two different hosting sites, I wasn't sure which was better. Regardless, they are two separate tracks, so give em both a listen.

    Thanks for your help!

  3. Ok, I had a great big list, but the page refreshed and erased it all. So here it is from memory...

First track I thought of was Wingless's Guardian Legend remix. I always pictured people waltzing to this. http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01459/

Here's some peaceful acoustic guitar tracks.

Geoffrey Taucer's most recent track for the Xenogears project was awesome.

Here's some Pot Hocket. Good stuff!

There's also another Pot Hocket track off the FF7 project called "Sleep my Sephy" Find it here.

    Ok, Jazzy time.

This should be perfect. Runaway 5 do not disappoint.

For more upbeat Jazz, try LSD.

Downtempo jazz more your style? Check out Neskvartetten.

The Thieves of Fate project has a track called Cold as Hell, which I think you'll enjoy.

It was a bonus track, so it's on the bottom of the page.

And of course, you've got to get in some DCK Aquatic Ambiance. I feel Vigilante's track will best suit the mood.

I hope everything goes well. If you can, please post a set list with your choices. I'm curious to see what's on the list!

EDIT: Knew I'd forget something. Why has no one mentioned Vampire Hunter Dan yet? Lol, he's got some great stuff. Some of it can have some mood swings though, so be sure to give a potential track a through listen. I'd recommend...

  4. Aw hellllll yeah! I first heard this in the WIP, and knew for sure it would be a hit. Friggin awesome song! I can tell that you touched this up too! There's more noodling thrown in there, an entirely new solo, and overall a much more fleshed out and pleasurable experience. Perfect improvements. Just like last time, I was bobbing my head the whole way through. Groovy as fuck.

    GREAT JOB!!! :<

  5. Hot damn! This is catchy as all hell! I've heard the source a few times, and never once thought it could be spun this way. Amazing take on it!

Like Harmony said, that bass is truly killer. I can tell you enjoyed making it. :<

If I could suggest a few things, one might be to pepper in some playful synth soloing with that lead you used. That would really take this one over the top for me. The ending isn't really that bad, but maybe you could try to jazz it up a just little bit more.

But all criticism aside, that had me bobbing my head the whole time. Superb job! Can't wait to see this posted to the site!

  6. Your review is exactly what I felt through the film- well done!

I have seen the movie, and it's amazing. I strongly recommend it to everyone here. It's inspiring, fascinating, and courageous. An excellent film.
