  1. So... it's basically an Anybody-You-Chuck-It-At Healer...?

Wow. I have, at least to some degree, appreciated every item they've come up with so far. But this is nonsense. I'm a huge Nintendo fan, and I say this is nonsense.

When would you use this? If your teammate can't fend for himself and/or obtain his own recovery items, then you need to find a new teammate.

This is pointless. The ONLY way I could see this not being pointless would be if you turned all other healing items off, in which case I could possibly imagine some interesting cooperative play.

    I hope tomorrow's update doesn't suck.

  2. I think it's interesting how we all played Melee and loved it, even though it had no online play.

Now we're all angry because we don't like the way Nintendo is going to handle the online mode of what will be an otherwise amazing game? Come on, guys, I love Nintendo, but online gaming is not their forte. I honestly think they've come a long way in even implementing the features they have. Sure, I'd like a ranking system as much as the next guy, but it's not as though I really expected it from Nintendo. I would buy Brawl and probably love it just as much if it had no online capability at all.

Anyway, I'm not trying to start any heated discussion. Just sayin'.

  3. Hmmm... We've seen quite a few final smashes.

This is a bit off-topic, but I wonder if there'll be an option to change which Pokemon and Assist Trophy characters appear? Like the item switch but more specific. That would be pretty cool. All Snorlaxes and Electrodes, plus Bob-ombs and motion sensor bombs like mentioned before... Ahhh the chaos.

  4. If they're going to go through all the trouble of getting the legal rights to get Bomberman in Brawl, why wouldn't you make him playable?

Yeah, good point. But he's not that popular, is he? People would probably see him and be like 'WTF?' But then again, I'm one of those people who's hoping for obscure characters (like Geno).

I'd say the pity smash balls will be toggle-able. I wonder, though: will CPUs get pity smashes?

  5. guys metal sucks

    and so does hiphop

    also who cares about ska

vg music is the only good music!!

    ^That was poetic.

And, I know these are both probably too soft, but I rather like A Fine Frenzy (piano-indie-pop?) and Vedera (alternative? maybe? used to be called Veda). As you can tell, I suck with genres. And I'll second the Flyleaf thing, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urlBWBloWuE&feature=related

  6. Thanks a million for the help, guys. I had no idea I could mess with the piano roll thing in GarageBand. I don't think I'll be going the Bootcamp route; but I'll probably be back for more help whenever I manage to obtain Logic.

By the way, if I were to buy a MIDI keyboard to plug into my Mac for use with GarageBand, what kind would you guys recommend? This is a potential Christmas present.

  7. Heheh. I must agree, Harmony.

Thanks, guys. I'm mostly worried about it sounding cheap- percussion in general is my weak point- but I suppose with the right EQ applied, I can make it sound alright.

But, how might I go about composing my own beats? Would having a MIDI keyboard be enough?

  8. I'm hopefully going to be making some potentially submittable music soon. But...

I lack the means to effectively create my own percussion tracks, so I was wondering: Is it considered appropriate to use those pre-made drum loops in GarageBand for ReMixes? If not, how might I go about making my own without buying an actual drum set or completely obliterating my funds?

  9. Though I've already posted a few times, I figure I'll be polite and use this thread to introduce myself.

Hey, I'm Mason. I play guitar and a wee bit of keyboard. I can only afford to be using GarageBand at the moment, but I hope to acquire Logic someday soon. I would gladly collaborate with ReMixers who need clean or ambient guitar-playing, and I look forward to becoming an active member of OverClocked ReMix.

    Thanks for having me. :)

  10. CD's? What kind of music are you into, brother? Besides ReMixes, of course.

And I'm thinking about putting Battalion Wars II (Google BWii) on my list. Plus, I still haven't gotten Mario Galaxy, so that's another must.

EDIT: The iPod battery problem is generally in older iPods, if I understand correctly. My 30GB iPod + Video has never had the same battery problem that my old 3rd Generation had.

  11. While the stories on this thread are unnerving, I'm glad to know that most of us are intelligent enough to realize how easily life can end when on the road.

What really baffles me is how people can sit and watch horrid things like this go on, and then continue drinking as though it doesn't really cause any problems.

  12. I've been thinking about registering on this forum for quite some time; after being a fan of the site for probably three years now, I just signed up today so that I could share a story.

A little over two weeks ago, a friend of mine was killed in a car collision. She was eighteen years old, Valedictorian of her class, president of SADD club as a high schooler, a freshman in college, and a remarkably intelligent, unthinkably kind person. She was Christian, a devoutly religious person, but she was never militant or in-your-face about it.

She was hit head-on by a drunk driver who was going a hundred miles per hour on the wrong side of the road. The drunk driver lived, and my friend did not.

This has affected me in ways that I cannot adequately describe. Soon after I heard about it, I realized that my life would never be the same. I would call it an accident, but it seems more like murder.

Everyone that ever met this girl fell in love with her, and I can safely say that every single one of her friends would have gladly given their life for her. Not excluding myself.

It's so horrendously hard to grasp any of it. I didn't really know what to think. I still don't.

Anyway, thanks for making this thread. I look forward to being an active member of this forum.
